Here are my outfits from the last two days. They're sort of the same theme: jeans and cropped sweater/blazer, but I tried two different lengths of tops.

I have my own thoughts of both looks, but I'd like to hear your opinions before I disclose my own.

There are things I like about both outfits- the necklaces, the flats, the cropped cardigans. I think I prefer the colour scheme of the first one, but the top might be a wee bit short. I feel like the second outfit could use a little extra waist definition, and though the longer top is better it might be just a bit *too* long. I think a top with a length between that of these tops will be ideal for you.

I love the way you use accessories, Shell. They make otherwise basic pieces into a special outfit. Is your top tucked in the first pic? I couldn't tell if it was tucked, or extra short, or if there was a band of darker fabric at the bottom. I second Lannie's suggestion of more waist definition for the second outfit. *Love* the cropped cardis and would like to find some for myself!

I think the red cardi outfit is quite flattering and I like everything about it. The proportions on the first outfit seem like they are off just a bit. I am thinking that the green top may be too short. But like the green and black and the adorable flats. You have great flair!

What do you think?

I like the second outfit (red cardi) best. I love both your color combos and I like the bow at your waist on the first outfit, but something just doesn't seem right to my eye. I love your shoes on both outfits!

ok, i have basically the same opinions y'all had.

green shirt was tucked in. it felt too long otherwise and looked kinda sloppy, so i tried tucking it in.

not sure if either of those worked.

as for the grey top, i felt it was kind of shapeless. i was contemplating using a belt, but thought it would be overkill accessorywise. i also thought it made my legs look short, which could be a factor of the shirt being too long.

so, overall, i liked the idea of these outfits but not the execution of them.

I really like the second outfit! I love the necklace and colour mix. I also like the top floating away from the mid section. The voluminous effect looks hip and contemporary. I do not see short legs. You look great
