That's too funny, Ornella!

Like Diana I use the same position and settings most of the time, so I don't have to try around too much. I also use a tripod in combination with a self timer and I think it really helps. My background is my closet, it's the only plain background I have in my flat. But even with all this I sometimes end up with the same problem you had above! Although it's not that often I need to take that many pictures, most of the time taking three is enough to get a decent picture out of it.

@MaryK, thank you for the idea for our Xmas card!!!

@Debora, that is such a cool comment My mind is spinning from ideas as I type.

On second thought, you remind me even more of Andy Warhol's 1964 Jackie Kennedy!

Lol! Ohmigosh. But that's art, the whole series!

LOL! I obviously am not trying hard enough. I just give up and post the very imperfect ones.

thanks for sharing this! i feel better now.

You way too hard on yourself! (But aren't we all!) I completely relate. My camera takes 3 pictures when I set it automatically. If I like none of those 3 becomes 6 then 9 then 12 etc. etc. (and round and round we go from there )

Oh yes, this happens to me! Sometimes I just give up and post a less than flattering pic. I figure you all know me enough by now to know my best side!

Love the color of that cardi, and I love seeing your posts. However: sleep first, posts second, dear Ornella!

Hilarious! You totally fooled with the title. I had just looked at your thread about the necklace Suz gave you and I particularly liked the red outfit so I was excited to view more red-themed ensembles.

I'm still trying to take acceptable selfies and also trying to be less a perfectionist and learn to take fast good pics. I've actually stopped posting selfies until I can get better at it.

Currently I've moved beyond the blinding flash of the mirror image and now have a little devise called at Tiltpod that you can stand up an iphone in. If you have a thicker newer phone you have to slip up the cover to make it fit but it works. For Celt this little (approx. $8 investment) it might stabilize your phone better than the Timmie's cut.

I've been using an app called CamMe but you need to put your hand up and then close your fist to activate the camera and also be close enough for the camera to read the action. So I have a lot of pics of my hand up in my face, me moving backwards, tripping over the cat, etc. Now I'm hoping for a handheld clicker for Xmas but if it's not in my stocking I'll be shopping for it after the big day.
