Today's personal challenge is wearing printed shoes. I have quite a few nice shoes that I never wear. My goal for this next week is to break outside my comfort zone.
I do not have any jewelry other than my wedding rings and standard diamond cut white gold hoops. This is an area I'm still working on.
As always, comments and critiques are much appreciated!

Love the outiit, very polished! Those shoes I would consider an (almost) neutral and wear a with a lot of things!

I agree with Tanya - they are an easier print to pull off with several outfits and colors. The pointed toes look great with the trousers! You look very put-together!

Hm, I'm sorry the picture is the greatest quality. Those shoes are actually the only round toe heels I own. They have a copper heel.

sarbear, you have a great blog, and those shoes have a great sillhouette. I can't get myself to wear snakeskin, but I am seeing it everywhere.
You're also a good photographer. Talented!
Did it rain on your wedding day? Hence the name of your blog?

I'm curious San, why do you not wear snakeskin? These are not real snakeskin, as I could not wear that either. As I'm becoming more and more educated, I'm trying to make wiser choices in regards to the environment. I haven't purchased leather in months because I'm so conflicted. I'm actually a vegetarian, so I'm making progress.
I'm originally from Seattle, WA (so yes, it did rain on my wedding day which was in January of 2006) and I moved to Texas after I was married. People here kept complaining about the rain (which I admit is different than the lovely WA mist) and I personally couldn't get enough. So my blog title is an effort to stay in touch with my roots. Fortunately our photographer snapped this impromptu photo (my avatar).

Yes I did assume the shoes were artificial snakeskin. I'm just too freaked out about snakes to enjoy the print. I think it looks good on other people, don't get me wrong.
I have one animal print top and it is girraffe. Maybe I need to bring out the inner animal in me! HaHa!
I love your impromptu wedding photo. That is the sweetest kind. You look absolutely in the bliss of the day. I also love the name of your blog and that you enjoy rain so much. Since I am a rain whimp it is a releif to hear someone say, give me more!

Ah, now I understand. I hate snakes too, San. I moved here to Austin and my husband swore up and down he'd never seen a rattlesnake in the wild. In one week I saw two NEAR MY HOUSE. While I was out for a run I encountered a four footer stretched out on my sidewalk. The next day I saw another one (baby) on a run and I screamed very loudly because he (they're all he's, yes? ;)) surprised me. It was 5am. Oops! Needless to say, I don't go outside much around here.
Anyway. My wedding was the best day of my life and I absolutely loved our photographer. If anyone in the Seattle area needs one, let me know. I enjoy rain, but more than that, I miss home.

PS: San, I too have a giraffe print top but have yet to wear it. Hopefully next week! I love animals, and I think wearing their prints on clothing is a fun way to celebrate them.

I haven't worn my girraffe print top yet either. I think I will wear it tomorrow for the birthday bar b que my family is having for me.

San, here it is: elizabeth-and-co.com (she does weddings, babies, family photos, etc). The photographer's name is Deborah, and she's very talented, easy to work with, and fashionable as well. I certainly couldn't be happier.
Definitely take a picture of your top! I will do the same.
