Reality/Fantasy/Lucky Day challenge WIW

Here are my three outfits for the Fantasy/Reality challenge.

I have three today, based on a red V-neck tissue tshirt, which has little silver embellishments at the neckline:

1. Reality - What I would wear if I were working, normal chilly spring outfit of knit top, cardigan sweater, work slacks, flat slipper loafers, silver earrings and bracelet.

2.Fantasy - What I would wear in my fantasy life of ARGV (active retired gramma volunteer), knit top, boyfriend jeans, collarless denim jacket, blue/white/silver-threaded cotton scarf, navy Keds.

3. Lucky Reality - What I am actually wearing because I have the day off (yay!), knit top, jeans, gray hoodie, socks - it's cold today and I am not leaving the house until I get the laundry and some other chores done, and I'm in the basement sewing.

I love all three and lucky you for having the day off! I notice that you your reality and fantasy aren't all that different and that's fortunate. Just a change of shoes and jeans/slacks and a shift in topper and accessory and you are in your new life role! (If it could really be so easy!)

HAH. A lateral interpretation of the challenge.

I like #2 the most because the proportions look best and the combination is the most fashionable. I hope that nothing is stopping you from wearing this fantasy outfit over the weekend when you CAN wear jeans. Looks fab.

#3 is lounge wear essentially, and why not. Have fun sewing.

I just love your three panel set... the fantasy between two realities. I do find your fantasy outfit very very stylish and your reality outfit not-as. Your reality outfit nods to fun and spiritedness, but not necessarily all the way up to *S*tyle baby (do jazz hands here). I really relate to that. And it's funny, I appreciate it too. I don't know if you do. I don't know how much *S*tyle I really like to see in the workplace.

This is a great presentation on the challenge. I really like your fantasy outfit, and your reality #1 is a very nice work outfit. Very well put together and yet approachable. And lucky reality--that's a great outfit for staying at home and sewing.

Thanks, all! You can see what the daily "grrr" is all about now. Maybe one more year and I can break through to fantasy world (and coffee at Panera)! I will wear #2 on weekends, and variations based on weather, so there is some relief from work wear.

That being said, I choose my business casual items with these style goals in mind: to be
neat, coordinated, fresh and feminine but not girly, smart, comfortable, just current enough (no high trendiness), efficient and sane looking, and to some extent economical because I don't want to spend a lot on my work clothes and I want to appear reasonable to those we serve (voters, who are everyone, not any certain needs, socio- or economic group.). I am not uncomfortable in what I wear, that is to say, I am myself and feel like me. So that is good.
