Photos of Christie

Here are my first photos. You'll have to excuse me because this is the first time I've done this or used photobucket, so hopefully it works out.

I had to use my computer camera because my digital one is out of order. For this reason, I couldn't take a photo of myself in toto. I had to do it in several pieces, some closer than others. I apologize.

What I'm wearing:

Wrap dress/tunic from a boutique in Portland, Maine
Camisole, Intimissimi
Jeans, Seven for all Mankind
Wedge Sandals, Banana Republic
Cardigan, JCrew (jackie)
Glass, Lafont
Necklace, from a boutique in Camden, Maine

(i hope this works!)

Wow. First of all, you look nothing like I pictured! I pictured you adorable, but with longer brown hair. Anyway, you are too cute.

LOVE your outfit. The dress is perfect w/ the green cardi.

I just added photos of my new haircut I got on Saturday. the front shape (minus the bangs) is similar to what I had before. My stylist added some bangs, and then shaped the back as it is pictured. It's pretty fun.

You are adorable Christie! I love your specs nad haircut, and you have such pretty eyes!

I love your outfit, I would still it from you in a snap! Wrap-dress over jeans and wedges-totally up my ally :) I especially like the purple/green color combo.

As I've said to Katie, congrats on posting your first photos! It will become easier, and then even addictive.

Wow! Christie, you look great. Your haircut is stunning; sooooo fab. And I LOVE that tunic/dress over the jeans. You're oozing with style!
Just like Katie, I pictured you looking totally different. Isn't that wild - not that I had a very specific image of you in my head, but the short blond do definitely wasn't part of it. Anyhoo, nice to see your face and your outfit, which is superb.
One thought, have you tried a cropped cardi? Might be fun too.

Well done dear, Christie! You look and are beautiful.

This outfit is perfect! LOVE the colours and edge you bring to your style. It matches your home in the best possible way. I am SO chuffed we got your head around wearing dresses over jeans. You wear this look flawlessly. (I have a soft spot for polka dots as you know Ms. Jackie O).

Great haircut and wonderful specs! Nars Manhunt was made for you darling. Three cheers for Christie on finally posting her pictures. She has probably been the longest lurker on YLF. Thanks for sticking with our site. We can’t wait to see more of fabulous you :-)

You are very, very stylish. I have always said green and purple are my favorite colors so you can imagine how much I love your outfit. You are beautiful and have a great sense of style. (That is a purple top, right?)
I love the green walls too. Can you share the name of the paint?
Love your haircut and your glasses. You do look similar to Angie.
Are you wearing bootcut jeans? You look fab! I love that wrap top and how you don't make it mind and stay totally wrapped up tidy. You know how to wear it and not let it wear you! I struggle with that issue alot.
Also you are adorable posing. I'm going to have to learn to strike a pose like that for pictures.

Christie, thanks so much for sharing. I LOVE your haircut and your specs, they are super! It's so nice to have a face with the name now.

I think that outfit is wonderful. I, like San, love purple and green together. I can tell I'm going to learn a lot from you if you continue to post pictures of your outfits! Hope to see more in the future (as time allows)!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It is amazingly difficult to put your photos out there for everyone to see (and judge) you.

Funny that everyone expected me to look different. It's weird how our image of someone is framed by their personality, yet sometimes we can be so off (anyone ever do that with NPR?).

My dress is actually black. It does look slightly purple in the photo, but, alas, black it is. I do, though, carry a purple clutch with this outfit for dinners out. So the purple and green thing does go together.

San, the color of the paint is luau green and the trim is bohemian black, both from Sherwin Williams. I'm glad you like it. I spent a long time trying to decide which colors to paint, and ended up doing this crazy color-block look. The green looks spring-green in the day light, and takes on a more muted tone in the darkness, so it's pretty fun.

Christie you are so stylish! It does take a lot of courageous to post ones pictures especially with faces uncovered. Thanks a lot for sharing them.

Christie - congratulations. You look great and I echo everything people have said so far and still wanted to write to say thank you for sharing your photos. You are inspiring me to try longer tops with jeans. Thank you!

I'm so happy you've posted! Everyone has sort of covered the territory I wanted to, but I love the Manhunt color on you! I've really been enjoying my red lipstick--thanks so much for turning me onto it (you trendsetter).

I'm sort of confused--do you live in Seattle, or in the midwest? Are there 2 christies on here? You're a lawyer and love J. Crew, right?

Yes, yes. We're one in the same. I think I'm the only Christie.

Ana, What is the Manhunt color? I've missed something here.
Also thankyou Christie for sharing the paint color names with us. I'm going to have a look at the store. We are painting here soon.
And yes it is scary to put photos up for everyone to critique. I get very anxious when I do and I don't even show my face.
Christie I think you have the arty farty look going here and it works beautifully.
