Hi all!
I've been thinking about how to put together outfits inspired by famous paintings. Today I was helping mum put up her Toulouse Lautrec prints again. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a French painter most famous for his paintings of the Moulin Rouge and other Parisian nightlife during the late 19th Century.
I noticed while we were hanging the prints that the outfit I'd picked for today used some of the colours in his painting of Madamoiselle Marcelle Lender, a French singer, dancer and entertainer of the time. I made a couple of tweaks including adding a dark blue necklace to pick up on the navy accents in the picture and felt overall pleased with the result!
I cuffed my skinny jeans for a bit of interest. I know it probably makes them shorter than "perfect pants length" but I think it looks ok...what do you think? I wanted to show off the ankle straps on the shoes I picked up at an op shop last week
I decided to do something different with the flower and wear it in my hair...in the spirit of Madamoiselle Marcelle Lender
