ON Corduroy Tunic & a Question

Finally had a chance to wear my ON Corduroy tunic last week when the weather cooled down (it's positively frigid now!). The cord is light-weight, fine-wale and very comfy. I wish it were better quality as I cannot see this lasting beyond this season. I really like the styling & details such as the longer sleeves, a-line shape, hip pockets etc. I bought it in regular although it is also available in petites online.

I styled it as in the first two photos - with leggings and flats (ignore the length of these leggings - they are supposed to be ankle length and for some reason I had it pulled up too far that day):

I also tried it on with my boots and I finally understand what Angie is saying about black boots and black opaque hose/leggings. Would gray tights work better? Is it better to go for slightly sheer as opposed to opaque? I also added a scarf for some more interest which is probably the way that I'll end up wearing it.

I'd love to see pics from my cord tunic twins (Khris, Cathy, & Vani)!

I especially like the last outfit with scarf and boots. Maybe you should duplicate the tunic.

Shana, it looks awesome! I like it with both boots and leggings, and I love the scarf.
I think the tights look good, but I know what you mean. In general I think grey tights are softer, but in this case you probably don't want the tights to be different color from the boots. Semi-opaque might be worth trying, or maybe textured?

Yay, ON corduroy tunic twin! ITA with what you said about the quality. But it definitely is a great piece to just throw on and kick around. I wore mine yesterday, as a matter of fact, with scarf, black leggings, and knee-high slate gray boots :)

That color is great on you Shana, and I like both looks. The scarf is a great touch! I don't think the opaques look too bad, since not much of your leg is showing, but try it with other hose and let us see how it looks

Oh hey, I'm a twin, too! I had no idea everybody was buying this - I just ordered mine in the "wise owl" color. :-) It looks great, so I can't wait till it gets here. As far as the tights go I agree with marianne - maybe try textured?

That is a great look! I hadn't thought about the black tight/boots thing. It seems to look fine to me (and warm!) but I"d love to see a comparison with more sheer hose.
I might have to go visit ON and try one of those on too!

I don't have any colored hose other than black (and possibly brown) though I have PLENTY of textured hose. I just have always felt that textured hose is kind of dressy and feel weird pairing it with such a casual tunic. I'll experiment a bit with textured and semi-opaque to see how it looks.

Joy, I was thinking about duplicating - it really is a fun tunic!

DOH! I have accidentally deleted my post twice.

Sorry Shana but I'm now doing an abbreviated version.

I love your tunic with the scarf and boots and think a textured tight such as the one below would provide the extra contrast you are looking for

I may wear mine today!
I love it with the leggings and flats, and the scarf. I do think a textured hose would look better, or maybe you can find the color of the tunic? There was a pic of Shiny floating around with a purple dress and purple tights that was really cute.
