I have several pages of notes that I have written throughout the month and I still need to get them in some form of structure. In the meantime, here is what I wore this month.

Can't wait to read your reflections. I will be posting my own retrospective and some notes tomorrow or the next day as well. It was an interesting experiment.

Looking at your outfits - -I see a lot of similarity with my own in that we both rely a lot on casual pants with sweaters! Also, more blocks of solid colour than pattern. And on the whole, a consistent silhouette, some of which was probably dictated in your case by your footwear issues. And in mine by weather. I like how you switched up your specs to vary things a little bit.

Right of the bat I notice a lot of solids and color blocking. Tunic length seems to work really well on you, and you look great in blazers (although not many of us choose to wear them around the house). I really like your light colored glasses, I might need a pair like that for my next pair. Also, your dark angular pair (that kind of look like mine) seem to pull your look toward preppy. I feel my glasses really change the vibe of what I'm wearing (as opposed to going without glasses altogether). I wasn't really prepared for that when I first got them and it's taken me a while to get used to the way they look with my clothes.

Claire, yes glasses do change the vibe of what I am wearing. That is why I have four pair that I change based on what I am wearing. The light colored ones you mentioned are RayBan Aluminum sunglasses that I had my prescription put in. I also have the red pair which I like to wear more in the winter, a black pair, brown tortoise that I do not wear much, the color is too blah for me, and a crystal pair.

Great looks! There's a lot of interesting variety with the shapes and the layering, but they all look like they came from the same closet. I was also struck by how almost everything is black, white, gray, or shades of blue and red. I'm sort of curious about whether you consciously decided to base your wardrobe around these colors or whether it was more happenstance. Either way, they all look great on you!

Aubergine, I have worked to create a color palette that looks good on me and works together. So far, I am very happy with this palette.

Love your colour palette & you have put together some great outfits here. My preference is for the ones with a short top - e.g. the middle photos in #1, 3 & 5. I think the proportions look more flattering. Do you think it may be more the length of the knits that feel frumpish to you rather than the knit itself? It's so hard to tell from photos so please ignore if this doesn't seem right for you

Deb, thanks for responding. I was wondering the other day about getting Rxs put in sunglass frames, and if I could be done with a clear lens. I'll have to revisit that when my Rx changes.....I hope it won't be too soon, although I envy your ability to change them out to accessorize your outfits.

You look great and have a really good figure. The only thing I could add is the long V necks are maybe just a tad too big for you. (and I'd try the up at the front down at the back shape sweater for a modern twist on your style)
