A little tribute both to Mo (whose idea this was) and the MOvember fundraising efforts to help protect and save the guys in our lives.

Luckily, there is no rule that we cannot repeat items, or I would be in trouble.

Day 1: Had to give an afternoon presentation and reading at the university.

Navy booties: Zara
Moto skinnies: Theory
Sleeveless modal turtleneck: Winners
Jacquard jacket: Zara

Day 2: Rainy day work-at-home and take my cat to the vet.

Dark wash up-sized toothpick jeans: J. Crew

Grey cardigan: Eileen Fisher (gift from Nancylee...mostly worn as loungewear now but once in a while it gets out!)
Leopard print belt: No hame cheapie.

Day 3: Worn to take my daughter for her birthday lunch. She is 14!! I wore the kitty print shirt because she loves it so.

Kitty print silk shirt: Equipment
Taupe leather jacket: Danier

Day 4: Work at home.

Day 5: Work at home

This is the sweater scarf combo that so wowed me on Ariadne when we met that I had to buy it for myself!!

Day 6: Had to attend and help with a friend's book launch. Rainy night so I had a trench on over top.

Navy booties: Zara
Black skinnies: GAP Really Skinny
Modal T-neck: Winners
Belt: No-name cheapie
Jacket: Danier
Bag: Tiganello

Day 7:

This knit shirt is probably one of my most flattering colours IRL. I don't have much in this particular teal/ peacock but I wish I could find more.

Booties: Munro (as Sveta said, they seem to dance onto my feet and have been begging to be worn with white, of all things -- so I just go with it.)

Jeans: Kut Dianas.
Belt: No-name cheapie
Shirt: Eileen Fisher
Scarf: Banana Republic

Thanks, Mo, for the push to do this. As you can all see, I definitely work with mini-capsules, repeating articles quite often within a week but trying to vary the outfit a bit. I very obviously have favourite items, the CPW of which is less than pennies.

Also, if anyone can suggest a replacement for this modal t-neck (it has ruching down one side) please, please, PLEASE let me know. I actually don't care if it is modal. It could be wool, cashmere, or any old thing. I just need a great, fluid fit sleeveless t-neck. I wear this one all the time in transitional weather. And it is getting pretty tired looking.

Suz, you are killing me with your streamlined perfection in every outfit. I kept clicking through waiting to see something I could critique, but I have nothing to offer other than slack-jawed admiration.

So #1 is perfect for a presentation. #2 could easily be worn outside the house - you look like me on a dressed up day!

You are the master mixer. I had to really pay attention to see where you had repeated items. You also answered a question I was asking myself the other day and that is if the Zara navy booties could be worn as "black". In other words in an outfit where there is not other blue to relate to them. If I'm not mistaken you've done that a few times. My favorite looks are 6 and 8 although my favorite expression is in #3 - looks like you're just about to stick your hand in the cookie jar! I have no suggestions for black Tnecks as I'm on the hunt also.

I never thought of wearing a sleeveless turtleneck! It does seem like a good transitional piece.

I don't know about delivery to Canada. Louben is a Canadian brand, though, isn't it? Maybe you can find one near you if you like it.

Thank you! Wow, Parsley, you are my shopping fairy today! Thanks so much! And yes, Louben is Canadian. I can probably find it here. I did find a great Lord and Taylor cashmere one at the Bay, too, but then it went off sale while I was dithering and at full price was too rich for my wallet (especially after having seen it at sale price first.)

AVM: yes, I have worn the navy booties with black. Although in outfit one, there is a blue jacket to relate, and in outfit 2, those are dark navy jeans, and in outfit 3, the dress and tights are navy (I know it is tough to tell in the pictures.) Outfit 8 is the only one where there's no blue to relate -- but I was wearing it at night where you really wouldn't notice. But Angie wore with black pants this week in her blog post. She did have some blue on elsewhere, however.

I love a sleeveless turtleneck for layering under a jacket when sleeves would be too warm. I'm no help with finding one though. Most of mine are thrifted or consignment. My most worn is an old black cashmere version that is a store brand of Dillards department stores. You might look at cashmere sets that sell pieces separately ( sleeveless shell with matching cardi).
All your outfits are stellar. Your wardrobe reminds me of Angie's...full of gorgeous pieces that fit to perfection.
About the beautiful teal/peacock knit, EF often does near repeats of colors. You might check EBay for the color.

Sheesh, you set the bar awfully high for a no repeat Mo-vember! All of these are out of the ball park fab to me. I especially love the more casual outfits--2, 5, 6, 7 because I love casual, of course! The drapey cardigan is gorgeous on you--what a great alternative to a blazer. It still manages to look structured on you though--how do you do that? Anyway, all are so beautiful. I wish you had a giant light box to stand in so I could see the colors more clearly. Ahh, winter, what are you going to do?

Kelly, I knew you would like the casual looks! I think the cardigan looks structured because (unlike most waterfall cardigans) it actually IS a bit structured! There's a sort of waist panel in ribbed knit at the back, which reins it in a bit. Plus I scrunch the sleeves big time. And I do have square shoulders, so things fall pretty well.

Joy, great suggestion to check eBay for this colour of items...wow, I might get a bonanza. It's from a couple of years ago.

Am in a rush, so I'll comment in detail lately, but I wanted to say that I love the crispness and creatively in these outfits. You are mastering the remix and looking so sleek and modern and approachable.
Is DD really 14? I'll keep mine 12 forever. Well.....maybe not!

I would like to layer as in kitty + Ralph but have not found the right combo.

I like how you are re-mixing--so far I'm not at goal on that. I think honing my color choices is helping--are you finding that, or that careful proportions helps more, or what?

Unfrumped, I think it's a combination. Limiting my colours and neutrals has been really helpful, for sure. But I haven't really limited them all THAT much, when you really think of it. Neutrals: Grey (all shades, from charcoal to light silvery grey); taupe (again, a variety of tones); navy (ditto); denim (ditto again); white and off-white; and black! Colours: blues (all of them, almost); berries (from cranberry to fuchsia); orchid-to-plum.

The pieces that remix most easily are the simple, classic essentials, like that turtleneck, and of course jeans. I find I'm more eager to wear the pieces that fit me best and are most comfortable, so I find ways to create outfits around those.

Gryffn, thank you for those great links! I will check them. I am sure this top exists somewhere. It's funny, when I bought the one I have I wondered if I would ever actually wear it. It seemed sort of an oxymoron -- who needs a turtleneck without sleeves? But as Joy says, it is great for layering, and with my long neck and short hair, is a great neckline for me. It saves me from wearing a scarf. I like scarves, but my minimalist soul actually prefers to go without a lot of the time.
