New stuff came. Bottoms went back, tops stayed.

Not really a K/R, more of a sharing. I got the jacket from Natalie over a week ago but the fold across the back was really affecting my judgement on fit. Add to that, I have a thing with armholes too low/extra shoulder fit in jackets and I was beside myself. I let it hang for a week but the fold is still there. Not as pronounced, but . . . I might consider small shoulder pads. What do you think?

The other stuff is my F21 order. Love the sweatshirt but only took close shots of texture. No styling of that in the heat.

The red crossover top is a winner with a caveat. I think I want to lower the attachment point about an inch. It makes me feel top heavy which is crazy considering I've spend my life trying to emphasize my chest! Added a pic with a skirt wondering if I should tuck the back or just leave the hem out. I think out is okay?

The shorts are a bust. Both pair. They both were a size bigger and an inch shorter than ideal. I thought maybe the two factors would balance out. Nope! I especially don't like the blockiness of the black and the flaring out of the silver. Sigh. Ever onward . . .

The red top looks great! I especially like it with the skirt, and I think the back untucked looks good. I don't see any issues with the attachment point - you definitely do not look top heavy to me.

Wow, I LOVE the red top on you! It looks superb and what a great addition to your wardrobe.

It's really tough to tell about the jacket. If it doesn't feel good as is, I'd be tempted to return. I need to look at it more closely on my desktop (on the laptop now).

Shame about the shorts. You look fab in both pairs, but I can understand why you'd want to return. The silver ones are particularly fun. I don't suppose there's enough seam allowance?

I am giving the red top a wear (and a wash) before I go fiddling with my seam ripper
I am still torn on the jacket. And of course white emphasizes any 'puffiness' I might be feeling. On the other hand, I never, and I mean never, pull my hair up off the back of my jacket like that. so perhaps a round of hair down, or even in a ponytail, pics might be in order.

I think I will do a separate K/R on the Dorothy Perkins jacket. Ironed and styled

I think we need to see the jacket with your face unless you don't feel like showing it. White is one of those colors. The red top looks great with the striped skirt!

Hmm, when it first came I think the pic had my face - let me look. I think it's fine at this angle. It's the shoulder/back that has me pausing.

I like it in this pic. But yeah -- let's see a real K/R on the jacket with stylings and such. Sometimes the details of fit sort of iron themselves out (haha) when you've actually put the whole thing together, you know?

The red top is gorgeous. I like the attachment point where it is but it would also look fine with it lowered. I like the jacket but I see what you mean re the fold across the back and the shoulder fit. A tuck in the shoulder should take care of the puffiness. The fold in the back is a mystery to me without seeing the jacket in person. I wonder if the seams were sewn a little off when it it made?

I have a very similar sweatshirt, also from F21, that is so comfy - great for casual wear. And I have the striped VC tube skirt which looks just like yours from F21 - also very comfy and looks great on.

That's too bad about the shorts - I do like the shiny fabric on the silver pair. Too bad there's not much seam allowance to make them longer.

The red top is really nice. I agree with you -- the neck seems just a tad high, and I think lowering that attachment point would open it up just a bit without making it too low.

Too bad about the shorts. I love the silver color, but agree that neither pair is fab enough for you.

I love the red top and it's a keeper for sure.
I don't know if I'm being overly critical on the white jacket or if there is indeed a fit issue. It has no stretch so I understand that there needs to be a bit of room for mobility's sake. Argh.
Maybe I'll ask the BF's opinion today. He has yet to see it. I don't 'unveil' purchases right away if I might be returning them. Why poke the hive?

First, a knowing laugh for the "why poke the hive?" line.

Agree the red blouse is a great piece for you. The camera angle may be contributing to you feeling like you need to lower the point of attachment -- generally I shoot somewhere between bust and nose. Perhaps try a shot in the mirror about there and see if you still feel you look top-heavy?

Call me crazy but there's something about the silver shorts I like -- if the flared leg was streamlined to straight....They certainly *are* short, but as styled (grownup) and with your freaking babybuttsmooth thighs I'd be sorely tempted to see about a little alteration.

FWIW I have the same armhole issue and agree with you re the fit of the jacket...seems like a size down could make a difference but I assume that's not a possibility? Given your gorgeous tawny coloring I do feel the white is a bit bright *if * it's as white as it photographs (may be softer IRL). Wearing it with colors as shown underneath will definitely offset, that, of course, and I know white is a big plus in Florida. Maybe this isn't "the one."

Red top is gorgeous esp styled like here(love the red/silver patent flats!!). Please find a way to keep the silver shorts, too, could you try to style them with some black sheers/opaques and booties for a date night, or so? I don't own a single pair of shorts for my own:-), bt love these on you, even if flared---(and you could always take in a the low hem a bit?).
