New hair: Even more shocking than the last look

Thank you for all of your help over the past few months. I found a hairstyle and color I wanted, and went to have it done today. Last time I had my hair lightened some, but couldn't go all the way without damaging my hair. So the day finally came when we could finish the color process.
The hair is a wee bit shorter than I wanted, but it grows. I also plan on adding some texturing products to make it a little more piecey in the back and at the end of the fringe.
What do you think?

I think it looks great (and I love the color and length)! I don't really know a ton about hair--mine's the perpetually messy/curly kind that I don't try to style much--but it looks like the cut would be easy to keep sleek for work and then toss in some wax (or other product) to jazz it up for going out. Of course, the most important part is that you're happy with it.

Sarah: I've yet to see a style or color that you don't wear extremely well. Each look is beautiful. And it's always fun to change things up!

Sarah, remember when you were dying to see pics of my Nas loot (they're up now, btw)? Well now I'm dying for a description of your cuts! I'm so impressed that you're able to be so adventurous with your hair; I can never do that! :)

Lovely color on you! I like you as a brunette too :)

Great cut Sarah. I think I have a slight preference for you as a brunette but this one suits your coloring very well, too.

You always look great and this is no exception. I also prefer you as a brunette. I love the cut and can picture many ways of styling it. Are you using a flat iron to get it so sleek? Beautiful!!

Wow, Sarah! I almost didn't recognize you in the photos that san posted, and here you are with a total new "you"! How fun to watch your hairstyle evolve. The cut is very chic, and it must be fun exploring being a blonde. What kind of reactions have you gotten to your new look?

KILLER cut, Sarah! I just love the cut! Not too short at all.

Like Bella, I prefer you as a rich brunette, but it’s always fun and exciting to have a bash at something else. You know I encourage the change. Well done!

How do you like your new do?

Well, hello there! Sarah, you look gorgeous! I love the cut, I love the color, I love the styling. Shocking is good!

Wooo, Blondie! Look at you go!

I LOVE that cut. Killer, chic, simple, stunning. LOVE.

Thanks! I like the cut. Not many reactions so far, as I just had it done a few hours ago. My husband likes it, so that's good.
I'm surprised at how many of you prefer me as a brunette. I always felt my darker hair was so flat and lifeless. I realize I didn't need to go this light to change that, but it's interesting.
I'm wondering if these photos aren't a bit muted compared to my real shade? For example, in the pictures Sandy just posted of our get together, my hair appears very warm, but in the photos I posted after I just had it done, it appears very one dimensional and cooler toned. My hair looks much warmer to me than it does in the photo I just posted, but I don't know how to take it more accurately. Maybe I'll see if someone can take my photo outdoors sometime.
Either way I'm happy with it. I sort of wanted chunkier highlights, but this is good too. I'm not attached to my hair, and I feel like if I never try new things I'll end up with something dated. I also know that if I hadn't tried this color I'd have always wondered what it would look like. I'm sure there will come a time when I "settle down" with my hair, but for now I'm enjoying being adventurous.
It will probably stay a similar color for awhile because I don't want to do anything too drastic to soon so it can stay as healthy as possible.

Sarah, you look amazingly gorgeous no matter what the color or cut of your hair. And this is no exception, KILLER!!

You look just like your inspiration photo's. I'm sure natural light does have a massive impact on the look of your colour in photographs. Do you like the hairstyle with your glasses?

Niiiice!!!

Work it, girl!

FABULOUS x

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!! Love the cut! The color is fabulous too!

Posted 2 months ago

I love it! And I like it short-ish ... it looks very chic & stylish! I hope that length grows on you.

I really like it! You look like Posh. You can do anything with your hair. It's interesting you can go either warm or cool, not one or the other. You are so lucky. Let us know how the color change affects your clothing colors - very curious!

Beautiful! You are so pretty and the new cut looks fantastic on you.

Thanks! Shiny, I had this color in mind when I started my fall shopping. :D
I'm wearing more navy and brown, and not quite as much black (although that will always be my wardrobe staple). The pink MK dress looks fab with this haircolor, as does the soft grey of the AP ponte knit dress. Squee!
I'm wearing this tee

with my navy jacket and my medium wash Gap jeans. And my specs! I'm loving the combination of the grey, navy, and red with this hair color.

I LOVE the cut, Sarah. Not too short at all and a nice change from having it longer. I know the blond looks great because I (mostly) saw it in person, but I also prefer the brunette. I know exactly why-- it contrasts so beautifully with your creamy skin.

Very nice!!! You are so pretty!!! I wish I could get out of my hair rut. I'm in the process of scouting out a new stylist. My hairdresser right now is very resistant to changes.

Definitely find a new stylist! Mine is like a kid at Christmas whenever I come in..."What are we going to try today?"
I love having an open-minded stylist (yet one that uses her expertise and skill to shape my ideas into something realistic).

I really admire the fact that you are so "unafraid" about your hair Sarah. And I love it that we are allowed to see how your do evolves;-)

The cut and colour are fab, couldn't agree more. I too have a slight preference for your brown hair, but you look fantastic now as well (how could you not, you're gorgeous!).

Have fun with the new do!

Awesome! It's a beautiful shape and the lighter color is fun and sassy. Sarah, I will second everyone who said that you look lovely in either blond or brunette, and can wear many different styles. It's such fun following your hair posts.

Of course I'm also pretty biased because I had this cut not long ago, hehee ;-)

Have fun with your new fab cut and color! You look gorgeous!

Sarah- beatiful, just like your other hair styles. I love seeing you in these varieties and how each brings out the best in you in different ways. Good for you that you experiment with your hair - I'm the same way. And a bad haircut (which none of yours are) only lasts a few weeks.

It's gorgeous. The cut and color look great on you!

Posted 2 months ago

late again, but SO. GORGEOUS. like some have said, i have a preference for your rich brunette locks -- but as a blonde, you're as hot as ever! ;)

Yeeees, I like it! well done, and...cool! :-)
