I just posted another thread about shoes (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....o-too-many) plus ordered a J Crew skirt today. And two dresses last week. Just so you know, I didn't rob a bank, keep the grocery money for myself, or steal my son's allowance (lol!).
But...DH and I have been tucking little extra bits here and there for what we've decided to call "fun money" and are about to split our wee wad o'cash three ways (yes...DS gets a third as well) for each of us to spend however we want on whatever we want. Hubby is already eyeing a new lens for his camera, DS is planning on blowing half on clothes (he's a boy after my own heart!) and half into his car-saving plan) and I plan on blowing mine primarily on clothes/shoes for fall items. DH and I are unable to get our vacations at the same time this year and with all that's about to take place with our home life, we thought this would be something fun to look forward to.
I've never had this amount to be able to play with before (fyi it's under a $1000) and don't want to be foolish with it. I'm a frugal girl after all and definitely want to get the most bang for my buck. I keep waffling between buying one or two bigger ticket items, or buying more smaller ticket items that could really flush out my fall wardrobe. The shoes I posted are two items I'm seriously looking at.
I was considering applying for a Nordstrom card so I could participate in NAS pre-sale but again, I have to consider shipping, duty, sizing issues in not being able to try on, and returns. Unless I'm reasonably sure (like the shoes), it would make more sense to try and find "like" items here if possible.
Now comes your part...what do you think I should spend it on? Would would you do?
