Heeled Oxfords - is two too many?

I really like these oxfords and I know Angie had included them on a list at one point. Do you think they're too similar to my Docs Sara oxfords? Or are they different enough?

DROOL. These are amazing and so different from the Sara's. I really wish you had not shown these to me. I must have missed Angie's post on them. Yikes they are gorgeous. Sorry. My answer is they are different enough.

I have several pairs of heeled oxfords, but they're all quite different. To me these are in the same style group as the Doc Saras and I would probably style them almost exactly the same way, but that's just me.

OK now that second loafer, that's a totally different shoe. That looks like a menswear-inspired shoe that could fit your style Shannon.

Shannon I like them (alot) and I don't think two pairs is too many.. however I tend to agree with somen of the other comments. These, I think, are a lower heel? So I do see an advantage in having a lower heeled pair. The are similar, but different enough to my eye. I am not really helping but I would probably take a moment in your closet and have a good look and think about how your would wear them, what you would wear them with, and how often you think they would be worn. I am finding that being more intentional about my purchasing is saving me from not only making mistakes, but also from buying fab things that end of not getting worn enough.

EDIT: Just looked at the loafer! I am just wiping the drool from my mouth (sorry that's gross) - stunning and a very different shoe to your Docs. I think these may be a better choice.

They are different but in your shoes (haha) I would probably pair many of the same outfits with them. If you can think of something already in your closet that would work with these shoes but not the Saras, you should go for it.

I adore those color-blocked kiltie loafers. Now *they* are very different. Would you wear them to work? Would you wear them with dresses as well as pants? Of course they'd be adorable with jeans on the weekends, too (if it's not the height of summer or snowing)!

Claire - I think the loafers would be worn both at work and casually. I love the idea of them with jeans but also with skirts - not sure about dresses.

Just FYI, I'm not considering either of these pairs of shoes for now - much, much too hot and humid for anything like that. Believe it or not, I'm thinking already of fall (sorry to mention the "f" word!)

I think the first ones would get styled the same as the Saras, but the second pair are mostly black and more piped than colorblocked. I think those might read more differently in an outfit.

Hmm, don't know which way to swing on this one --- I do see the similarity to your Saras, but at the same time that shoe is gorgeous (and to me, far more attractive than the loafers) which alone is reason to have more than one pair!

In the abstract, would loafers be as much/more/less your style than oxfords? Does answering that help any? I know I like to duplicate things that are 'more my style' vs the 'useful for particular outfits/moods' category.

My heeled oxfords are nowhere near as nice as those TS! That said, I have two pairs of heeled oxfords (one brown, one black), and I wear them *all the time* throughout fall, winter and early spring - so two isn't too much, as far as I'm concerned.

Freckles - that's so cute that you think of me that way! I do love my shoes...and yes, these make my heart sing! I've put them in and out of my cart several times now.

Just pulled the trigger and bought the heeled oxfords - couldn't help it. Love them!
