NAS-Round One with Angie Picks

Hi,

Here are my first of two posts today from NAS (post two is here). I have quite a few pieces on order, so there will be more keep/return rounds once they come in, hopefully sometime this week.

#1 and #2-Paige 'Skyline' Ankle Peg Skinny Jeans (Dixie)
I am really enjoying the 'cropped' styles for jeans, because at a height of 5'3", they are always perfect length for me. I haven't tried Paige before but they are very comfy. I actually did not want to take these off.

#3-Halogen Textured Jacquard Sweater
One of Angie's picks. I really like the textured look to this top and as with the jeans above, it is very soft and comfy.

#4 and #5-Eileen Fisher Leather Sleeve Merino Lambswool Jacket
This is another Angie picks. And I fell in love with this piece from Janet's post. They did not have the regular length in the store. This is a petite small. I don't usually look at petites for tops because they are often too short on me. I'm uncertain on the back view, is that rumple because my rear is making the fabric sit awkwardly or am I just being overly critical? This is a splurge piece for me, so I really want to make sure it's a 10. Should I order the regular XS?

Those jeans are fabulous on you!
Maybe order the smaller size of the jacket to compare side by side.
I agree that pricier garments must be a 10 so that one does not feel bad about the cost.

Love the sweater and the jeans. You're right - something is off with the jacket. Definitely try another size. The petite doesn't look too short on you but it doesn't hang well at the back.

OMG, I can't get over how great the jeans fit you. The fit is perfect and the rear view is ummmmmmm....... fabulous. I think Paige is a good brand for pears.
I hope you find the right size in that jacket.

The Skylines are awesome on you. I have a pair that I used to live in so can vouch for their comfort and longevity. Love the sweater too. The fit on that is perfect and you sing in blue! I like the coat from the front but am unsure about the back. I think a tad more length might be good so I'd definitely try the regular.

Fantastic jeans, Lisa! You look really happy with those and no wonder. I also love the texture of the sweater.

The jacket is really cool - a nice change for you. It does seem as if something is off in the back -- are you sure it wasn't just caught or stuck on the fabric there? Maybe try a few more pictures to see?

I love Paige jeans! And - these look really great on you! Do you want them to be skinny-skinny? - or slouchy-skinny? If you're going for the slouchy-skinny fit, I'd probably size up one size (but that's just me!)
The sweater looks very nice on you. The coat almost looks to me as though there is a defect in the back? Does it have that funny wrinkle in the back when it is hanging on a hangar? Either way, I think I'd try the Regular just to compare!

As for the jacket, I agree that the fit isn't what I would want for such an expensive item. I would definitely order the XS regular to compare.

Mona-Thanks! I did not realize Paige would work for a pear shape, that is good to know as my favorite brand Joe's is really hard to find lately.

Suz-Thanks! I'm going to order the sweater/jacket in the regular XS to compare. I really think the petite is too short in the back and that's why it puckers.

Marley-Thanks! I am going for the skinny-skinny look this year. I have a few very long sweatercoats that I think will pair nicely with the tighter bottoms. And my Kut BF jeans give me the slouch look when I want it. You have a great eye!

Gigi-Thanks! I was really hoping to find some jeans this year and it's nice to find one's that fit for a change. Skinny denim jeans were a bust for me at NAS previously.

Fantastic jeans on you! I like Paige too. Nice sweater. I think perhaps you need the XS in the EF topper -- it almost looks like the cut is too long-waisted on you, but it's hard to say. I think this piece runs quite large -- I got it in an XS, so I can't imagine you would need a bigger size than I do.

Perfect jeans on you! I like the sweater too. I agree about the sizing on the EF sweater - give it a try. I tried it on in the store today and it felt soooo cozy. Hope it works out.

Great choices Lida, those jeans fit you so well! I also vote to try the EF jacket in a smaller size.

The EF jacket does not look like your body is making it misbehave -- it looks like it either got mis-sewn or mis-pressed somewhere along the line.

I'll be eager to see what the XS looks like.

And to echo everyone else -- yes, fantastic jeans, and I love the Halogen sweater as well.

I really like the sweater coat, but agree about the backview being off. The jeans look good, but I think I like the jeans from your next thread best.

Rachylou-Thanks! Joe's still seems to fit me the best out of all the premium denim brands I've tried. I'm going to keep the Paige too because the fit doesn't look bad and that brand seems to be easier to find.
