1) Last Friday:

This is my attempt to accessorize the skinny belt with a brooch. I have a couple of more ideas (with another belt and brooch). Let me know what you think about this one.

I think Angie mentioned in another thread that you can dress in gray from head to toe but they should be all different shades. I think this fits the bill. This outfit also reminded me a comment Greenglove once made about outfits with subdued colors and how they look more interesting in real life than in pictures. I think this was the case for Tuesday's outfit.

You can see the tag on the scarf, arghhh! What do you do with tags on scarves, do you remove them?

Love the belt with the brooch! At first I overlooked your note saying that they were separate, and thought this was a very cool flower belt like the turquoise one in Angie's blog post from the other day. Looks great.

And OMG -- you asked my most nagging question! What's up with those stupid tags on scarves and what DO people do about them? When I'm feeling extremely patient, I use a seam ripper and detach the stitches one by one, but on a scarf tag the stitches can be extremely tiny and tight (and yes, I have made little holes in more than one scarf). Does this problem have a solution?

FABULOUS week! I love, love, love Monday's outfit; the belt and brooch is darling, but I am crazy about way the cables in sweater, the green of the blouse and the striped in the scarf all come together beautifully. Add in the chevron stripes in the skirt and the pattern on the hose, and it is just a delight from head to toe. It's a lot of patterns at once, but they're all subtle and they all work. LOVE.

I think the monochrome gray comes across very well in the photo. I love the richness of it.

For scarves, I cut all the tags off. Very, very carefully.

I don't own a lot of scarves but the ones I do have I cut the tag as close to the seem as possible, so it's not so glaringly obvious anymore.

My favorite outfit is the pink sweater, you look so fabulously glamorous!

I remove the tags on all my scarves - carefully, because I've ripped some and made holes when I've done it too quickly.

Yay, thank you for posting, I always drool over your outfits. I love them all, and would wear many of them myself, including last Friday's (layered b&w dress) and Wednesday's outfit with the skinnies, pink cardi and dramatic scarf. SO FAB.

I love the belt with the flower pin (so funny - I wore this today, too, and mine also was a handmade creation with a belt from H&M and a thrifted brooch). And you are the queen of scarves. So today I was shopping with Angie and a client (who's a good friend of mine) and she was looking for accessories, including scarves. I also like the grey outfit. Initially I took a glance and thought "too grey for my taste" but then I looked more closely and was smitten by how much interest you created with the scarf and the earrings.

Thanks for the compliments and the suggestions for scarf tags. I am really afraid of ruining my beloved scarves.

I am glad to see that the reaction to the belt and brooch was overall positive. As I said, I have a couple of more ideas so stay tuned!

Antje - I can't wait to see your belt/brooch combo! My brooch is also second hand via ebay, it was cheap as dirt.

One final word about scarves: Since I use scarves so much, you can imagine that it is hard for me to put together refined, polished looks in the summer when it is too warm to put on so many layers. I like spring and summer, but getting dressed is a bigger challenge. I will rely on your example and ideas in the upcoming months!

3-26: I love how you chose a brown belt even though your boots and skirt are black. The green is a lovely color on you. I think you and I gravitate towards similar colors, so I'm taking notes. I don't think i would've considered wearing my green tops with black but it works.

3-25: I'm going to steal this idea from you. I have a black and white scarf and a fuschia cardi. I think this is my favorite of the week! You're so pretty in pink.

3-24: what color handbag did you wear with this? curious... I do like this except that there is something off about the cardi for me. I think it is the length, or the bulkiness? I think you look better proportioned in other cardi+belt+skirt outfits. Yes, I think it is the cardi length that is off to me. The skirt is very cute. Are your nails painted white?

3-23: LOVE the brooch and belt combo! And textured tights!

3-20: this outfit is a 10. So sleek and sophisticated. You wear black very well.

I do take the tags off my scarves, when I remember. I just cut them off so they aren't as obvious. I get very annoyed by these tags. My other pet peeve are those security tags in clothing. Even if they don't show, you know they are there.

Yeah, Bella! I love it when you post. I love how you've done tights in the pictures. The patterns are fabulous.

The grey outfit is amazing. You have created interest with the different fabrics and sheens, a la Angie's suggestion.

The brooch/belt outfit is great. Have you tried it without letting the green peek out from the bottom? I wonder if that extra length is just a bit too long with the skirt.

I love the print of that dress in the layered dress outfit.

And I have the same question about scarves. Why do they do that? It's so annoying. I get anxious about trying to remove the tags because often it appears that the tag is sewn into the finish work. Argh! It appears that cutting them off very carefully would be the best option.

I find myself cutting those annoying tags off scarves with nail scissors as well.
Not sure there is a solution other than seam ripper and lots of patience.

What a great week! My favorite is the layered dress with the red belt, but I was inspired by details from several outfits....the red belt on the green cardi, the flower brooch on the belt, the challenge of the all-grey outfit, etc. Thank you so much for posting these!

Shiny - I don't carry handbags during the week, as I lug around my laptop in an over-the-shoulder laptop bag. However, If I did, I would wear my purple bag similar to this in color: (not price!)

My nails are painted silver. I purchased this OPI nail polish thinking that it would be a darker shade of gray, but it turned out to be silver!:( Not what I wanted but I hope that it will look pretty in the summer on my toenails.

GG and sinead - thank you for describing my outfits as glamorous.
All the recent conversations on the forum about personal style made me think about my personal style as well. If I wanted to describe my style, glamor would be one of the words that I would use. I am glad to see that it came through.
On the other hand, I started to wonder if I am dressing a bit older than my age.

So here is my question to you all, if you don't mind answering. Strictly based on the way I dress, how old do you think I am?

To repeat what everyone else has said, you look fantastic all of the time. You have completely inspired me to start wearing belts and scarves and I have to say I love the look. I have found that I have no desire to shop because I have figured out how to wear my clothes thanks to you posting pictures. Thank you!!

As to your question - I think you are in your late twenties. I think you look very modern and very confident in your own style and that is something most people only dream of attaining.
