Hi,

Here is recap of my week:

1) Monday:
This is my Maya dress, which some of you have already seen. Thanks again Maya!!!

Animal print cardi makes another appearance. I have worn this cardi in many different ways. I am preparing a tribute to it, to be featured on the forum soon!:)

Today's outfit is featuring two new items. I've had both of them for some time but the weather has finally allowed me to wear them. The first one is my Forever 21 vest. The second item is my new arty print long sleeved tee.
I am looking forward to your opinions on this outfit. Any suggestions? Should I unbutton the vest so you can see the print better? Shoes?

Hi Bella (this isn't really your name, is it? Sorry I forgot! I do like the name Bella, so maybe this is why it's stuck in my head). Anyhoo, as always, I love your style, it's very confident and creative and has a great edge to it.

Some specific comments:

LOVE the outfit with the Maya dress. It's just perfect, with the hat and the scarf and layered over that tee.

Love the animal print cardi and those great tights.

In the pink outfit, I'd try adding an accessory in a different color to break up the matchy-matchy effect.

Love the layering with green and purple and scarf.

Ok, so there is something off in the graphic tee look. The overall look is great (and I like the vest buttoned) but this specific print looks funny peeking out from under the vest. I find it hard to put into words, but the top of the butterfly is somehow spilling out too much in the cleavage area. Maybe I'm nuts, but when I first looked at the small picture it looked "suggestive" in a weird way. Please tell me, someone, that I'm not crazy... Again, though, the overall concept is right on.

I get antje's point about the graphic tee. but i do love that outfit in particular! you look so chic and put-together!

It's always fun to see your creative style. I also love the Maya dress outfit and your use of prints and color. I like the vest buttoned to show your small waist and didn't think of how the print looked at first. I suspect it's the bottom butterfly's placement paired with the top one's placement that may look suggestive as to where it draws the eye, but I doubt it's enough to be concerned about. We'll see what others say. You could reveal more of the tee by putting it under an unbuttoned jacket or cardi. The vest fits you perfectly.

Wow, do I EVER want to steal your patterned tights from Tuesday. The entire outfit is cute, but these really caught my eye. You have such a fun and classy style!

I do love the fit of the vest on you. I don't see that outfit as sugestive, but maybe a little overly symmetrical since the graphic on the tee and buttons on the jacket line all line up. However, the graphic tee under vest look isn't one that I've mastered yet, so I'll leave this one to the experts!

Bella, you look lovely as usual. The vest outfit is great - it's slightly different but very chic. I prefer the vest buttoned.

OK, now one odd thing is that I own both the blouse and the sneakers from your Friday outfit.

Love the green and purple together. I agree with Antje on accessorizing the pink. Maybe chunky pearls? Is the Target belt a fuchsia. My thoughts on the graphic t...I love the fit! As a followup to Antje's comments, I think it is the bottom butterfly that peeks out of the vest that seems to be "suggestive." What would it look like unbuttoned as Marianne suggests?

how cute are you?! eep. i love the maya dress on you, i'm really liking the pink and black of thursday's outfit, and you rock an animal print like no other. as for the vest/graphic tee combo, i do like the fit of the tee, but agree that something about the combo with the best makes it look a little off. try it with the vest unbuttoned, or with another graphic tee?

It seems that the crowd is divided on the vest-print tee combo. Now that several of you have pointed it out, I can see how it can come across as suggestive due to the placement of butterflies. It hadn't occurred to me at all, thanks for pointing it out. I think I was more concerned with doing justice to the print tee. I find the print exquisite (a series of butterflies in gradually smaller sizes), and buttoning the vest completely obscured the design. But I also agree with you that vest looks great buttoned. I think I still like the combo as it is, I will wait a bit more to pass judgment on this one.

Antje - I go by bella on the forum, so you're welcome to call me by that name.

Kari - I got the patterned tights at Marshall's. Unfortunately I can't remember the specific brand. They turned out to be very versatile (immediately takes up any outfit a notch), so I will definitely buy another pair. I will let you know if I can find the brand.

Marianne - no wonder! I find both items very versatile and easy to pair with everything. how about you?

Eva- Yes, the target belt is something between red and fuchsia. Do you suggest wearing it with the pink outfit? I actually tried that to begin with but then decided to go only with pink and black for Thursday's outfit. I like the suggestion to try a contrasting color.

Bella, yes, I like a contrasting belt with the dark solid sweater. I have a wide berry belt that looks great with a black sweater.

Bella, try red as a third color in the black and pink outfit, whether as a red belt or scarf. It could be fabulous!

Hi Bella! I’m sorry to chime in late. Things are hectic. But I love your style and enjoy looking at how well you put yourself together. So here we go:

Monday – fabulous!

Tuesday – fabulous! Adore the patterned hose. Great use of texture in this outfit. You look arty and fun.

Thursday – very Jackie O. So pretty. Nice to see this shade of pink at this time of year.

Friday – I can’t see the wale on the cords so you’re in luck and I love the colour combos of the tops with the animal scarf. (Marianne is right - the sneakers aren’t high on my fab list :0()

Saturday – I absolutely love the graphic T with the waist coat! Well done! Why was there a doubt in your mind? You are gorgeously stylish and fantabulous. LOVE your style Bella darling.

I am happy to see that you gave the thumbs up for the graphic T-vest combo. There was a question about the placement of the butterflies, you can read it above. I think I definitely like the outfit as it is now.

About the cords - they are a very thin wale and a great cut on me, so I break YLF rules from time to time!:)

Sneakers - Yeah, I know. When I purchased them last year, I should have opted for a more sporty fashion sneaker. These are a bit on the gear side. Unfortunately these will have to this spring.

Bella - awesome job. I love how you combine prints, thights, boots, skirts and belts. Very inspiring. I wonder what the animal print sweater will look like with a true pencil skirt - might make the look even more streamlined. I am one of those people who had the graphic T reaction where I wondered what was popping out of your vest/chest. It was like Antje mentioned - a funny, first impression hit as soon as I saw the photo.

Beautiful as usual. My favorite is Thursday, love the pink with the black. It is unexpected to see 2 different shades and with the hose!!
I like the fit of the vest with the graphic T but I think there is something funny with the suggestive thing, (where the butterflies are positioned.)

Every other day is just perfect IMO. You have such flare and know what works for you!!
