my attempt at getting dressed today

no joke I had on at least half my wardrobe at some point in the process, so I decided I should grab the camera and start snapping away. There are lots of pics, so I certainly don't expect many of you to go through all of them (just those of you suffering from insomnia ;-0

1173: Great use of layers. It looks really cozy warm, but not bulky at all.

1165: Cool moto jacket and skinny jeans - hot mamma!

1167: Not as crazy about this. It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look as good as some of the others. I think the skirt is a little A-line and that added with the way the jacket fits adds bulk to my eye.

1159: What a clever way to use a top that would otherwise not work in the winter. It's very comfy-casual.

1151: This looks the same as 1173. I think you might be wearing different pants in this one, yes? Same comments as for 1173!

1155: Wonderful! The pants and shirt show off your shape beautifully, and the cardi says, "I'm hot but I don't have to throw it in your face." LOL! I really like the necklace.

1166: I think you did a repeat! I don't see a difference between this one and 1165 ...

1163: Really nice color combo - love it!

1172: I like the color of this scarf with the dress, but there's something about it I don't like. Maybe it's the length of the scarf.

1157: Yup! There's that killer figure again! Love the necklace. Belt is awesome.

1153: Is that the same pink scarf I said I didn't like? I like it much better wrapped like this!

I think that covers all of the different outfits.

Great looks queenie! I especially like the turquoise and white, the colors are beautiful together. The plaid dress is very cute. The outfit with the wine cardigan looks very elegant.

I agree about the pink scarf... it was too long in that one attempt.

I think my take after studying the pics is that I do best with less clothes on - LOL (my husband would agree but seriously.... I feel that at times I have way too much going on and it overpowers me - but I'm not petite by any means.

Queenie, you are too cute! My favorites are 1155 love love love the necklace and cardi combo, 1163, love this one with the scarf, 1157 love it! Where did you get your moto jacket, I really like it and it looks great on you.

1166- The scarf seems too wide and it hides you, you have such a cute shape and we can't see it with this scarf!

I agree that scarf was overpowering. It's a pretty heavy knit scarf that needs to be reserved for snow days I decided. Plus I think its a bit "last year" lol

Angie- aww, an award? more like the "indecisive award" I think. thanks for taking the time to look at all those pics. you're the greatest.

Tam, I didn't get a pic of my final outfit... I ended up wearing 1166 sans the scarf but added a long beaded necklace because by the time I finally got dressed, the sun had come out and it was too warm for the scarf.

Julie, no this is a different dress. The one I was undecided about is blue... and I kept it with the plan of taking the skirt down a bit straighter and adding some darts to the front to make it a bit more fitted. I figure if that doesn't work, I'll make napkins out of it- it was only $7

I want to clarify that normally I wouldn't have taken that much time getting dressed, but there were 2 men in my house installing a new kitchen floor so I needed to stay out of their way anyway and wasn't in a time crunch to be anywhere.

Kim, I'm late to the thread but I wanted to say that I love that plaid dress/tunic on you! And I may be the odd one out but I liked it with the scarf as well.
