More WIW, 9-4 to 9-6 in the Purple

Hi,

I like the new upload feature so much, here are some more recent outfits. Apparently I'm into purple lately.

#1 to #4-Purple Peacocks
I like this blouse and hubby doesn't. Who is right to keep or toss? The arms have a big flare, I think that's what he dislikes.

I felt bad that this cardi sat in my closet unworn all summer. Now I am trying to make up for it. Here's another outfit. I still wonder if this is too overwhelming on me though.

I'm afraid I have to vote with your hubby -- I'm not really feeling the big-sleeve love for the first shirt! LOL But the fluttery cardi outfit is divine! I love the white accessories! And the beachy wedding outfit is perfect -- it's cold and overcast here today and I just want to step into the beach picture and join you!

I love the shape of the purple top. I don't have a problem with the big sleeves at all. I think the volume on top goes well with those skinnies. Not to open a can of worms, but have you tried a loose belt with that top?

I prefer the drapey cardigan with those darker wash jeans. It looks more sleek and it doesn't look so overwhelming. I also love the flower and flower bracelet. Great accessories with that outfit!

Nice to see your face in the wedding picture (even if you are hiding behind sunglasses!) You look beautiful in that dress--perfect attire for a casual beach wedding!

Cardigan outfit is a perfection! Love!
I am on the fence with the blouse. I like the print and colors but something about the shape puts me off. And it is not the volume thing but rather that sleeves start in the awkward place: it feels they should start higher or lower...
I am with kellygirl on seeing your pretty face: it is so nice to put a face to the "voice"

I love the colors of the purple top on you but I also think it overwhelms you a bit so I vote toss, sorry. But the drapey cardi outfit is gorgeous - love, love, love! The white accessories are gorgeous.

I really love the flower pin (I'm a huge flower pin fan!) and the drapey cardigan - it's divine! I'd like to see that outfit with heels too in a smart casual setting Do you have any white heels?

But the beach outfit takes the cake for me - soooo pretty! The cut and colours of the dress are absolutely perfect for you, and I LOVE that beaded necklace! Nice work!

Love the print on the purple shirt but I have terrible arm volume phobia (because I tend to accumulate weight in my arms) so I am a very biased no on it. I think it might have worked better had it been tunic length. All the other looks are fab - I love the details with your flower pin & bracelet in look 5.

That peacock shirt is really wild! Hmmm...I love the pattern and the color, but the sleeves are really over the top. If you were loving it, and wearing it with pride, then I'd say keep! But if you are not feeling great in it, it might be a tosser (unless you could find a tailor to take in the sleeves a bit).

Love the dark cardigan with the dark jeans! (as I said on your other thread, with dark jeans and heels in the fall and winter, it would work well, I think)

You look so summery and happy in the last photo--it's nice to see your face!

I love the print of the shirt, but I am afraid I am with hubby/others with the sleeves. Maybe if the shirt body had less volume.....hmm.

enough people have talked about the purple dolman sleeved blouse...

so i'll talk about how fab that navy and purple outfit is. i love love love the white and navy together. i guess i knew that neutrals would mix well, but you have shown me just how fab navy is when dressed with just the right amount of white.

i might have to borrow this look!

And the results so far are going to make hubby very happy to know the peacock shirt is heading closer to the donate pile. I guess every once in a while I should give him one huh?

I think the purple top would have worked better if the body bit was more voluminous to match the sleeves, I agree with hubby toss

I love purple, too! I think this shirt would have worked better if it were solid. Voluminuous sleeves + paisley print is a bit too much. The outfit with the cascading cardigan is very nice.

I LOVE the pattern on the batman blouse. It's KILLER. But the batwings are a little too voluminous for petite you. You need to be taller and larger to carry something like that off. Does that make sense?

The navy cardigan outfit is divine! You can also wear it with the new Loft scarf you got in NYC. So very you. And the picture of you on the beach is FABULOUS.
