Mixing Moto with leather

Here's what I wore today.

My question for you fab fashionistas today.....
Is it cool to mix the moto pants with the fringed booties and the leather jacket?

My
#1 Man gave me this jacket for my birthday in May. And while I believe
it's a moto style in the front, the perforations in the back worry me
about making this whole ensemble a little too western.

Opinions? is it TMGO? The trousers are ink blue by the way.

I have similar pants, but bright red(!) and I always tone down what I pair them with. I do think there is too much going on, honestly.

First of all - you look great in all of this! And what a guy to get you that beautiful jacket! Wow!
For my preference, this is too much going on. I would decide on featuring one item - either the jacket, the pants, or the fringed booties - and then keep the rest of the outfit as supporting actors to the "main" event! They are all 3 beautiful wardrobe pieces, but I think when you wear them all together, then we don't really appreciate any of them - KWIM?

Is it the multiple zippers that makes it too much? I just went in and PS'd the zippers and pintucks out. Still too much?

I'm seeing the pearl necklace, pin tucking on the blouse, the zippers and the fringed boots. If it were me, I'd find a way to drop 3 of those 4 things Much better without the zips on the paths, and maybe try a really plain top underneath, and booties with no fringe? I love the colour scheme her though, and what a nice guy to give you a gift like this! You can make it work

I apologize. That seems so disrespectful. I'm obviously over eager to make these shoes and jacket work together. And I can't figure out how to delete the post(s)!

I have to watch wanting to wear some of my fave things together because I'm enamored of hardware. I can easily end up with zippers-a-plenty without even trying to.
Best to err on the side of caution. I would even go lighter on jewelry when the clothing has so much detail.

I agree this is ALGO (a lot going on) but I actually love the all-out Western flair thing when it's done with a pure heart. I can never rock it myself, but I think you're doing a pretty good job!

You could easily pair all of these things with something else in a simpler vein if you feel overdone.

I like the PS version. You can do the booties and jacket with plain jeans and simple shirt, I think.

I sometimes find it hard to tone down what I'm wearing - I keep adding things, like a scarf, jewelry, etc. I find it helpful to stick to one focal point and build around that, keeping everything else in a supporting act.

The jacket, the pants, the boots are all gorgeous, but I think a little less going on would be better.
