Yesssssss. Though you have to watch for the knockoffs there, too, reputable fabric stores won't say "Missoni" on the bolt if it ain't.
I've seen *cough bought cough* both their iconic chevrons and space dye, as well as more muted patterns.
Of course they have levels within levels of fabric quality, but I routinely look at the Missoni at Saks/Nordstrom and my demi-sheer chevron definitely looks and feels like what they sell.
Now with the brand itself you're paying for the fabric and often intricate -- but sometimes not-so-intricate -- construction. [$1000 resort caftans, I'm looking at you.]
As one who skews fairly minimalist but is trying to branch out a hair, a little Missoni goes a LONG way.
So I keep things simple and just try to enjoy the house's amazing sense of color without obsessing about recreating an item. [Good thing, since one of the textiles that I wear on my chest seems to have started life as a home decor item, ha!]
I want you to seriously think about seeing what's out there, Ms S!
