As always, I love to hear your comments and suggestions. Sorry that I haven't posted in a bit or been around on the forum in the last week. The semester has started again and I have lots of work. It looks like things will be busy, so I won't have as much time as I'd like to spend here.

1. Jeans, black cabled sweater, Boden plaid jacket, malachite necklace, Fluevog Tennyson shoes.
Since the plaid blazer is pretty loud I tried to keep the rest of this outfit simple. I think it worked.

2. Jeans, pink Express cowl-neck top, black Banana Republic cardigan, pearls, Fluevog shoes.
I wore this for the first day of teaching the largest class I've had so far, with 350 students (I'm nervous!). I wanted something comfortable and easy to move around in, and this worked.

3. Black Urban Outfitters jeans, white camisole, tan Boden sweater, blue Target scarf, gray Matisse oxfords.
This is my first outfit with the new Target scarf, and my attempt to follow your recent instructions to wear more blue.

4. Jeans, purple Uniqlo top, plaid Macy's vest, brown belt, brown shoes.
Another teaching outfit.

5. Gray Urban Outfitters jeans, pink & gray flowery top, gray Matisse Oxfords, cream Target biker jacket.
In my closet cleanout thread, Angie said that if I want to keep this top I should wear an outfit that toughens it up. This is my attempt. I wore this to a party.

6. Club Monaco microcheck pants, blue Uniqlo top, gray cabled sweater, blue chunky necklace, purple Doc Martens.
Another teaching outfit. Does this work, or is it too much gray? Please ignore the wet spot on the sweater - I was brushing my teeth right before I took this photo.

7. Tweed Talbots skirt, brown turtleneck, brown belt, pearls, black patterned tights, Fluevog Tennyson shoes.
I thought of this as my "tenured professor costume" because when I posted photos of this skirt and asked whether or not to keep it, Marianna said that it looked like something a tenured professor would wear. This is also my first day on the patterned tights bandwagon, and I LOVE them.

8. Gray Urban Outfitters jeans, purple-pink Express cowl-neck top, blue H&M cardigan, black Lane Bryant necklace, black boots.
This is the necklace from Angie's store. I am so in love with this necklace, it's adorable. Another teaching outfit, and a traveling day. I thought this outfit worked well for all the running around I had to do.

9. Jeans, gray Uniqlo turtleneck, LAMB blazer, Fluevog Tennyson shoes.
Sorry about the blurry photo. I would love suggestions for what to do with this blazer, I feel like I don't know how to wear it other than this look. It's such a loud piece, I'm at a bit of a loss on how to wear it.

10. Gray Urban Outfitters jeans, black camisole, purple Boden tunic, black boots.
My first outfit with this new tunic. It worked well for running around a museum with a 2 year old.

I have to say, I think it is very admirable that you bought a Lane Bryant necklace. I feel like most straight size women would never purchase *anything* at a plus size store out of principle. Good for you, Medusa. Lane Bryant has some gorgeous necklaces right now.

Another amazing week and each outfit is lovely. I still love your "tenured professor costume!" I also think you styled the questionable floral blouse really well. I love it with the skinnies and moto jacket. Your legs look sooo long in those skinnies! Well done.

Thanks for posting again Medusa! And 350 students, wow, I'd be a nervous mess;-)

You know what, I think outfit 5 may be my favourite outfit here. I wasn't sure about the floral blouse on its own, but it totally works with the gray jeans and that amazing cream biker jacket (I hope we'll get to see that more often).

The grey Matisse oxfords look great on you too!

About the L.A.M.B. blazer: maybe you could try it over a grey or black sheath dress, paired with (stirrup) leggings and booties or boots? Or with a denim pencil skirt?

#1 love the blazer, #3 love the scarf and the colors are gorgeous on you! #5 I like how you fashioned this with the gray skinnies, but love it with the white moto (this is my favorite outfit) #7 the gray sweater seems like it is a little short or maybe not the color gray, I'm not sure..#10 love this outfit , the necklace just makes it all work great together!

Wow. I love how unexpected and unique your outfits are ! That includes the shoes. I agree with Carole, the only thing that I was hesitant about was the flowered shirt alone.

PS Mariana - I am a size 2-4 and on a first name basis with a manager at Lane Bryant. I LOVE their accessories !

All looks very good, my only objection would be shoes that you paired with your skirt outfit, not so great to my eye, sorry medusa, I have to say what I think.

Looks great! I really love the plaid jacket and vest. I also really like the Talbots tweed skirt, so pretty! The patterned tights are really cool!

#6 Maybe too much grey, or maybe it's that the greys are so different. I wonder how this would look with a neutral shirt underneath instead of blue? Or a color that picks up on the pants?

#9 Have you tried the blazer with a tank or scoop neck? Maybe pants in the same color as the tank? Or a grey sheath dress if you have one.

The styling of your floral shirt is superb here Medusa, I also have a pair of grey patent oxfords which I adore. I love your style and second Inge's suggestion of a sheath dress with the LAMB blazer. Congratulations on your YLF award.

WOW! Thank you so much everyone. I was feeling super guilty that I hadn't returned to this thread since I started it. (Seriously, how sad is it to not even read my own outfit thread? Very sad.) Finally I read it today and I am SO TOUCHED by all your nice comments. I am actually tearing up.

Marianna - thanks you. I feel so grateful to YLF for expanding my retail horizons...because Angie put that black Lane Bryant necklace in the store, I saw their website for the first time and wound up getting 3 necklaces! I love them.

Inge - thanks for the LAMB blazer suggestion. I love those ideas, and I just got a denim pencil skirt so the timing is perfect.

Your style is so funky - you look how I aspire to look! I think I like the two cowl-neck outfits best. You look great in cowl necks and I like the color of the one in Outfit #2.

Medusa, what a wonderful style role model you must be to your students. I'm sure they must appreciate all your hard work and dedication even if they may not always show it.

#1 Love the Boden jacket on you. You've posted a lot of these items when you were trying to decide whether to keep or not, and it's fun to see them styled and put into action.

#2 and #4 What a lovely pink against your skin tones! Both great teaching outfits!

#3 Beautiful scarf and I like the long, vertical lines of this outfit.

#5 I love the floral top/moto combo! I can see why this is everyone's favorite.

#6 and 7- Very nice! I'm always making a mess with toothpaste!:)

#8 This is my favorite! Love the gray jeans with the boots, the purple top with the blue sweater, and the gorgeous necklace!

#9 and 10 Beautiful blazer, it'll be fun to see this with your sheath dress as Inge suggested. Great tunic, also!

I luv that pink Express top on you! I'm curious what it would look like under the plaid blazer.

The blue Target scarf looks beautiful. I also like your red watch!

I like the purple with the brown vest. This would also look great with a skirt

The floral top looks great with the moto jacket but the length seems personally too short to wear with those skinnies. I know you have them listed as jeans, but they seem like jeggings to my eye and that requires a top longer than crotch length. I probably am in the minority reguarding those jeans.

Something seems off with the grey outfit but I don't know what. Maybe it is too much grey. How about take the grey sweater out, leave the blue top and necklace and add the cream moto jacket? Or take out the blue top, leave the grey sweater and necklace and add the black cabled sweater? Or ditch all the tops and add the pink Express cowl neck or the floral top belted?

Call me kooky but how about the floral top belted with the tweed skirt and the cream moto to top it off?

The outfit with the fabulous black necklace is a great on-the-go look!

I like that LAMB blazer. It's got a great shape. I like it with the jeans but maybe with a v or scoop neck top instead? How about with the tan Boden sweater?

The purple Boden tunic looks great! A fun MOTG look!

medusa, fantastic looks all around! My absolute favourite are the blazer looks too and I'm totally digging your Fleuvogs. I want some SO bad after seeing how you are rocking them Oh and that tan sweater and blue scarf look is just divinely retro.

I'm thinking a black or charcoal grey silk/georgette blouse with textural details would look fab with the LAMB blazer.

I love the checked blazer and the striped one, too! Reminds me that I have not worn my own checked blazer for quite some time... But my favourite outfit is #8. I think the purple-pink with blue combination is so stunning! And the layering is so well done! Everything works in this outfit in my opinion.

Debora - I'm grateful for your detailed comments! Thanks. Interesting question about which outfit was my favorite...I think #5 since it was totally outside my comfort zone, but I felt really good about it.

AJ - thanks for the suggestions, they have your hallmark of creativity! I'll have to try the pink cowlneck with the plaid blazer, I never would have thought of that. I am also intrigued by your suggestion of the floral top with the tweed skirt and cream jacket - I may try that on just to see what happens.

Vani - your comment about wearing a silk blouse with the LAMB jacket gives me a great idea - I have something like that which could work.
