To follow up on this thread: as requested, here are the boots worn with tights and a sweater dress. Except for the Doc Martens, I wore this to work (substituting snow/rain boots instead.
The slight platform and footbed/arch shape make the height incredibly comfortable for my feet.
If you say "keep", the next step is to take the boots to a cobbler to see if the calf and/or tongue can be stretched a bit.
