Okay I poured some wine and did a shoe try on for Aziphrale and others.

For the record, I'm 5'0 with 28 inch inseam. These are 4p BR Sloan kick crops. Pics taken not just with various shoes flat and otherwise, but with various mirrors including hotel and home, and photo at front door that DH (who's 5'11" looking down on me) took tonight leaving the house.

I will also add here that several times out and about in these I did catch myself in window reflections -- while in motion-- and think they looked far cuter than when I pose in a mirror trying to take a flattering picture. Which frankly sold me on these, more than the "pose" taken for the camera or the mirror.

I really love them with the Topshop silver heels in pic 1 (maybe with different top) but unfortunately those heels gave me horrible blisters so they are going back to Nordstroms. But I like them just as much with these other shoes, including flats!

For the past while, if I wear jeans, it is usually skinny jeans but now that I see how you are styling your flared crop pants, you are really giving me some good ideas for spring!

The white leather jackets with the flare cropped pants look really great together, my favorite look of all your styles Do you have a fave out of all those outfits you put together?

You are right, these pants look good with both flats and heels. I like your shoes collection, btw. And the white jacket is the perfect third pièce.

I think my fave would have been with the Topshop silver pumps, leather jacket, but with simple black tee that is more fitted than the loose silk black top shown in pic 1 -- too long and loose for these pants. I adore the pants with those shoes which are to die for-- but unfortunately they gave me such horrible blisters I'm still recovering and they are going back.

I really like how these look with pointy toes, flat or heeled, but I also like them with the cobalt loafer flats. Maybe because they are uber comfortable. If I pose straight on in front of the camera I can see they aren't as flattering, but I can move easier in them and in motion (they are comfy enough I am more naturally in motion) I think they look just fine to my eyes.

For those of us in office jobs that sit a lot, how pants & shoes look sitting is important. I have to say that these cropped flares "sit" better. The skinnier versions tend to ride up more. These don't so much, because of the flare, which adds ease below the knee. So the shoe, rather than wrinkled fabric around the knee or calf, is the star!

BTW, this is the WHBM leather jacket I posted about before, it's not quite white, more of a slight blush to it. Which I had to get used to, as it's not a direct replacement to my favorite pleather jacket of all time, which eventually gave out.

If anyone is interested in this jacket, note I had to size up in it, primarily to fit my waist. The 4p was just too tight to want to even attempt to wear it enough to break it in. So I sized up to a 6p. It is giving as I wear it... not in the waist so much (my widest fit point these days), so I think the size is just right. By that I mean it's getting buttery soft with wear!! I am loving it and I heartily recommend!!

It's not a cropped length per se but there's about an inch between the jacket and the waist band of these Sloans, which on me hit right at /around/ on belly button.

Everything looks so terrific ! You really rock those jeans! BR pants don't work for me - but this Sloan cut seems to work for a lot of members - super flattering ! Too bad about the shoes ....cute but obviously not right. And according to what others have said on this forum , they scuff and mark pretty easily. I'm looking forward to breaking out my cropped jeans soon too and am paying attention to your shoe collection here too - I'm purposefully lagging a bit behind in terms of buying new shoes for spring/summer...

Personally, I think the crops need at least an inch off the length - maybe more. I like the way you styled them though, Jennifer. They are a flattering fit.

These look fabulous on you shiny. All interations are good, to my eye, but I just LOVE them with the dark blue booties - no skin showing. To me, this is just so elegant.

The pants have a really nice wash/sheen to them and look like they fit really well!

My first impression is that I really like the fit on you but would like to see the crops a bit shorter to look more intentional. The silver heels are my favorite. Too bad about the blistering. My second favorite is #10, but they all look good.

Thanks for the feedback Angie. I'll experiment with shortening 1 inch -- but first I'll wash them as I can guarantee they'll probably shrink an inch in the wash... !

Thank you for posting! You and I have the same inseam although I'm 2" taller, and I am struggling with the cropped look. Your pictures are helpful and you look terrific. I didn't keep the silver shoes either, although they are really lovely!

I love these and think they look great on you. Echo Angie's comments about the length. As a fellow shortie, I have this issue a lot too!

You styled the crops well, but I agree with everyone that says they need to shorter. Bummer I don't like to alter something new, just adds to the cost.

These look good. I particularly like them with the shoes in 10 but they all work to my eye.

They look great. At this length they seem to work better with a heel. If you want to wear them with flats I think a bit shorter might be easier. Too bad about the silver shoes!

Those pants fit you very well and are flattering, I agree. You have styled them really well and I think they work best with the boots in pic 2, but they look good also with the shiny silver shoes in pic 1 (too bad you can't keep them!) and the cage sandals in pic 10. I'm still not convinced about the flares with flat shoes, but maybe if they were slightly shorter they would work?

Anyway, thanks again for putting the time into posting this -- I am very pleased and appreciative. And inspired.

UPDATE

They are dry clean only!!

I want to wear them on my next business trip this week, so I'm going to do a temporary hand-sewn hem, then have them professionally hemmed when I return. I tucked them under earlier tonight and did another try on and i think YES they look better hemmed, especially with flats.

I don't mind them at the longer length with ankle booties but I'm going south on this trip and there will be no booties! Just bare ankles.
