I had a huge poison eye for these, so I had to post. I think, for me, it looks good as a tunic for some reason.

Adorable! This is a great look for you. I pulled on jeans under my shirt dress this week too because I knew I was going to be in frigid ac.

Actually, Traci, I just stepped outside and decided to add a leather jacket. In a few hours it'll be overkill, but it's chilly out!

Very cute! Traci is right. This is a fab look for you. I love it with the leather jacket. I am also using my shirt dresses as tunics as they are a bit too short to be worn on their own.

This is a great look for you, Mochi, with or without leather jacket. I also wear my shirtdresses pretty much exclusively as tunics over jeans/pants, as I don't feel covered enough to wear them on their own.

I love this look. Those jeans work perfectly with the dress. Funny, I feel like I am high contrast coloring (dark hair, pale skin) and look better in high contrast outfits.

Supposedly we look better in high contrast. Or maybe it's that we have more leeway to wear both low- and hi-. Maybe it's also because I'm short? But anyway, I love the harmony of low-contrast ensembles.

I am also short. When I think about it, I also like tonal outfits. Maybe I just need things that contrast with my skin? Not sure, I will have to think about this some more. Anyway, love the jeans with the dress.

I've had poison eye for them, too. I still don't think I'd personally enjoy wearing one (for all the reasons I struggle with button down shirts) unless it was really special, but I love how they look on others! The definitely like them worn as tunics.

Why poison eye? I think they are hard to find in a good fit if you are an apple or IT, but the right drape and style can be really forgiving and stylish. Exhibit A: you!

Well I think this might explain why I intuitively felt like shirt dresses were missing something. I have two shirt-style tunics I wear frequently with dark jeans - it's a go-to formula for looking presentable at the office without worrying about various fit/style issues. Definitely a new way to look at shirt dresses, thanks!
