  1. I'm sure you're all not sick of my dress parade that has been going on for over a month, right?

    Questions:

-The smocking does cut across my bust a bit, but I don't know if is bad enough to bother me. Does it look ok?
-Are the chest pockets too fussy on my big bust?

I really like it for the most part so as long as those two things don't bother anyone else, I'm keeping it. I just want to make sure I'm not in denial and it does really look as good as I think!

  2. I love your dress parade- look forward to seeing the new posts and am comforted that I am not the only one who needs things to be just right.

I love the dress and have no problems with the pockets. I think the dress has just the right amount of edge and is a great shape for you. You look so good in black!

The only question I have is whether you need a cami for the neckline?

  3. Yes, I would absolutely need a cami with this. I was just too impatient to bother for the picture. I need to do get a few from Second Base.

  4. You are not in denial. It really does look as good as you think - probably better! This is a great dress on you.

  5. I love it on you. Definite keeper.

  6. Great dress. It looks even better on you than the model!

  7. Love it! I don't see smocking or pocket issues. Definitely keep it :)

  8. I like this one a lot. What a cute figure you have!

  9. K-word worthy.

Are you happy with the cleavage? I'm happy with the cleavage.

  10. Eh, I'm never really happy with cleavage, but I suck it up and deal because it is unavoidable on my frame even when wearing a cami. But this dress is low cut enough to show the centerpiece of my bra. You can't see it in this picture because of the perspective but it is very apparent to anyone taller than me (which is most of humanity).

Also makes it impossible to wear to work, which is where I spend most of my time these days.

  11. Wow! Keep! and the chest pockets are positioned so that they actually draw the eye up. You look fabulous!

  12. Loving your dress parade! and love this dress on you.. no doubt about it, it's a keeper!

  13. Yep, very flattering on you. I like your dress parades!!:)

  14. Well I liked it from the front view and LUV it from the side view. This fits wonderfully on you. You must KEEP! I like all the edgy zipper details.

  15. Love the dress on you Maya. And your hair looks lovely.

  16. Maya, you need to make friends with your cleavage. You are young and look sensational in that dress. Dang! That's a great versatile dress. A cami will give you work-appropriate coverage, but it's great without for other occasions.

  17. LOVE the dress on you Maya. You're looking so elegant lately.

I'm with Boof on the cleavage issue- you need to embrace it! A cami will make it work-appropriate, but as-is, I still like it for other occasions. (Er, not in a creepy way. In a way that is entirely appropriate for someone who's never met you to like your cleavage on the internet. Oh, dear.)

  18. Love it. Will it be work-appropriate with the cami?

  19. LOVES IT!

    Work it, girl!!!

  20. Love it! Keep, keep, keep. I don't see a cleavage issue in the photo. In fact, I thought it looked good with some skin. But if you are uncomfortable, go with the cami.

  21. I find cleavage kind of tacky looking *ducks*. It always reminds me of those guys who unbutton their shirts to reveal their chest hair. I guess since female breasts are considered more alluring than chest hair, it's acceptable to most people. I'm sure my bosoms draw enough attention without falling out of all my tops anyway.

I also don't like my bra to show. It's sloppy and tarty. Desperate even. Sorry, I have very strong feelings about this.

So cami it is. Sorry, I know all of you like staring at my chest!

  22. Dear Maya, some of us only have cleavage in our dreams. Enjoy!!

  23. Wish I could donate some of mine to you Joy!

  24. I LOOOOOOVE it Maya. This is a dress that needs no layering to have edge!! The length on you works a lot better than on the model too!! I too would be willing to accept a cleavage donation ehhe.

  25. I feel so bad that I have cleavage while there are so many women walking around out there who actually want it! It's a terrible waste! I'm never going to be a cleavage person. Ever. It's not about being "comfortable" in my own skin or anything like that. I just don't like it and have no use for it on my body.

Yet there are women in the world who will go so far as to get implants just for a speck of cleavage. Someone should set up a program where women who want reductions (ie myself) can donate some of their excess tissue to women who want implants. Sure it sounds yucky but it's not any squickier than donating an organ. I bet real breast tissue would give a more natural look too.

...though I'm sure those of you who think you can't have cleavage just need the right bra. Sorry, had to say it.

  26. : ) Maya! You should start a Cleavage Donation Programme as a charity - you could have some wicked fund-raisers and I'm sure that there'd be many interested men who'd consider giving money!

  27. One more lovely dress!

This one makes your bust smaller, the pockets are high and the cleavage is lovely!!!

    Keep it!

  28. Maya I so would take a cleavage donation. While I agree with you, a push up bra can do wonders, I always worry that once you touch them, all you'll feel is the padding.

  29. The dress looks great on you Maya.
I am in the same camp as you on the cleavage issue. I just don't care for the look of flaunting it. You know wearing a bra to push them up, then a low shirt so that a big line of pressed together soft tissue is showing. I just don't think it looks good.
If I had cleavage I would not decorate it as I explained above. I'd be modest about it like you do.
Same goes for behind cleavage, and muffin top. It just doesn't belong out there in the open.

  30. I am very late here, but you look stunning in that dress. Absolute keeper! And count me too in the group of the ones who would like a cleavage donation :)
