What I wore to work today, or feeling pretty in a pup tent! Sun Kim, the maker of this dress, bills its clothing as "comfortable, lightweight, packable travel wear. Each piece is water repellent, weather resistant"! The dress probably COULD double as a tent, in a pinch! It seemed just the choice for today's wet snow flurries. The fabric is actually like light raincoat taffeta, and the sleeves are a soft rayon knit. The collar is wired at the edge, so you can shape it in lots of ways. There's an elastic drawstring at the hem, to adjust the amount of poof. Totally fun!

I bought this dress to wear to a holiday party. I felt great in it, dressed up with a fun, sparkly necklace, heels, a skinny black bow belt at the waist, sheer black hose, and an oversized muted-metallic clutch (sorry, no pics). But I knew it would be fun to style over skinnies, or with tights and booties or leggings and flats, or lots of ways, for daytime.

And I finally wore it to work today.

1: How I wore it today. Sun Kim dress (Renee's Clothing, in Everett, WA): layered under a forest green bolero cardigan (made by me); with metallic-wine patent belt (Nordstrom); Marjorie Baer mixed metal necklace and hammered silver half-hoop earrings; black rough suede boots (Donald J. Pliner, NAS); black sheer patterned hose.
2: How the dress looks on its own: Sun Kim dress, with DJP boots, rhinestone bracelet, hammered silver earrings.
Other possibilities I tried on:
3: same as pic 1, minus the jewelry and with leggings and ballet flats
4: dress with a patchwork-print vest (made by me), rose pewter metallic braided belt (Brighton), black tights, black booties (Clarks, several seasons ago).

This was definitely a "fun with fashion" kind of day for me. And I came home to find Angie's posts on dresses!

Thanks for looking! Thoughts welcome!
