Answering my call for shoe ideas, my style sister Krishnidoux pointed me towards these:

She has them in the olive, which I really liked, but was not able to obtain. I WAS able to try a black pair, and better yet, the price was reduced.

I ordered them, and I am keeping them; they are unbelievably comfortable, scaled for my proportions, and definitely work with skinnies.

My question is whether I can wear them with a skirt and dress. This is WAY outside my comfort zone. As someone who is only about 5'4", whose legs are proportionately on the short side, and who tends to look best in low vamp shoes (that do not stay on my foot, but that is a complaint for another day) I have avoided skirts/dresses with booties like a smelly garbage bin. Looks great on the likes of Jonesy, thought I. But not on the likes of short-legged moi.

Here are some pics. My daughter tried to follow Aida's suggestions for the camera angle. Now I have a nice double chin, but oh well, at least the body looks more or less its regular proportion!

What do you think? Can I get away with this look or not? Suggestions for improvement welcome.

Note: I am Claire's scarf twin.
