First attempt at tucking knee high boots in jeans

Hi lovely ladies!
I have a pair of Etienne Aignier knee high riding boots that I purchased a couple of months ago. I haven't found any skirts or skinnies that I like on me yet but I really wanted to wear them with a pair of pants tucked in. I teamed them with:
Gray turtleneck
Gray faux leather moto jacket
Black straight leg jeans
black and gray jersey striped scarf

My question is, do they bunch too much at the knee with this jean? Opinions on the overall look?

Nope, just enough bunching to go with the equestrian boots! I love it! I love your legs in it!

I think you look amazing. If they end up bunching too much as you move around you might try those boot strap things to keep the pants more taught. Like mitten clips, but go on pant hem under foot like a stirrup. I also have some velcro leg wraps, but they don't work as well.

They work great with your knee-high boots and your jeans look sleek to me. It's a nice look on you and I can see you working this again and again.

@Meredith you look amazing! I love it! Keep doing this look - it works very well on you! It took me a long time to adopt to the boots over pants look too (It's not within many people's comfort zones) but after a while you'll realize how practical it is (especially when you live in a snowy area!).

looks great, FWIW i have a pair of pants that seem to ride up in the boots through the day sitting and standing and then poof out a bit, i have found safety pinning them tightly below my calves and again at the ankles before putting on my boots helps them stay put and not develop excessive poof.

Yeah! Very strong and chic. In my opinion a little fabric at the knees is better than the "sausage knees" that can come with the wrong pair of skinnies. So....did people notice your new style today?

I have stirrup metal clips attached and they help but I was worried about the them still not being taut enough around the knees but it sounds like they are acceptable till I get a slimmer cut leg on pants.

Yay! You did it. And you look fabulous and modern, Meredith. I confess I only started sporting this look last fall, but once I did it became an easy go-to look.

To minimize bunching I usually tuck my skinnies into some heavy socks before putting on my boots. The socks provide an anchoring effect, although it seems a little bunching in inevitable unless you wear jeggings or leggings.

Thanks so much for helping encourage me to try this new look. I will try the socks and I think I'm going to keep trying to find some nice jeggings as well! I also want to try to find some skirts to team with the boots!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for liking my first attempt at jean tucking. I checked out the video reviews on Zappos for 17" height shaft boots and these are the ones I picked. Now I need some more tuckable pants and a few skirts or dresses to wear them with.
