The Kate Spade polka dot dress that you all really liked on me has just been sitting in my closet because I was afraid it was too fancy for work and there haven't been any other special occasions to wear it to. Well, I finally said "to heck with it, I am just going to wear it!" and worked up the courage to rip off the tags and actually wear it to work. I was debating whether to wear any jewelry or not. I have some fake pearls, but I thought that might be a bit too stuffy of a look so I went with the KS butterfly necklace & earrings instead. I wore my old AT loft green cardigan (opened as bran888 suggested) to dress it down a bit. And my red Clark T-strap pumps and red Fossil tote bag. And I put on some mascara and red lipstick (a little brighter than I thought, but I just grabbed what was available from the grocery--I think it's Cover Girl Outlast) Well, everyone at work loved it! I got so many compliments. I am glad I was able to push myself out of my comfort zone and try a new look. Because what is the point of having something fabulous in your closet if you never wear it?

Here are some other WIW's:
3-5: What I am wearing today to work: sheer animal print shirt from Nordstrom, with Japanese Weekend maternity tank underneath (sorry I haven't gotten around to buying any tanks/camisoles yet), the Theory pants from Nordstrom, my extremely pointy-toe kitten heels from Banana Republic, and a necklace/earring set that I bought on vacation (this is also not my typical style and I was worried it was too cheap/bold looking, but I think it works with the animal print...what do you think--is it too tacky?). I am wearing the shirt tucked, but have a picture of it untucked...which looks better? No belt loops so I am wearing the pants plain.
6. An old dress that I haven't worn in a long time because the button at the top was missing--I finally fixed it and wore it with the La Canadienne Galaxy boots to work. And a Jack George leather satchel that I haven't used in years. Also got lots of compliments. I find that I am now getting lots of comments/compliments on what I wear and I never used to before...I have to admit I like it!
7-8. Also worked up the courage to wear the Hinge shearling vest. I have the Hinge blouse underneath, and the Galaxy boots. Also with a pair of earrings that I bought on vacation. This was for my day off when I went to the dentist. Previously I would have just worn a T shirt and jeans and fleece jacket.
