Final porch photos before moving to the new place

Moving day is here!

To say goodbye to our current apartment (currently a graveyard of boxes and packing materials), I'm uploading the final batch of photos from my little self-portrait station on the porch:

#1-3: Purple Vince Camuto hi-low hem dress, black and white floral print cardigan, cameo brooch, black and white dalmatian-print pumps

#4: Cobalt blue knit midi skirt, aqua pumps, turquoise and white argyle patterned sweater vest, teal earring on a chain

#5-6: Cobalt faux-wrap dress, periwinkle beaded disc necklace, tan wedge sandals.

#7: Red striped Bailey 44 midi dress, periwinkle beaded disc necklace, leopard print pumps. A repeat of an outfit from a week or so ago. I got SO many compliments when I showed up at work with this dress!
As for my dad, when I wore this over to their house for dinner, he cocked his head and said "Didn't I see that outfit on your Pinterest page?" He made me laugh. I love my Papa!

Yes, my dad follows Pinterest! He was a little disappointed that it seemed to be ALL girly crafty things - he'd love to see pins related to music/guitars/amplifiers, too!

You are the absolute queen of bright dresses! Incredible. I would use you as an inspiration, if I could just find a dress that fits... I seriously doubt if I could make them look as good as you do though.

Kari, you rock that blue dress in #5 - it looks AMAZING! All other outfits are great too but this one took my breath away.

Thank you all! The move went pretty smoothly - we had 6 awesome friends helping us (they all live nearby where we're moving to, and have been urging us to move to the west side of the lake for years, so they were happy to help us get over to their neck of the woods.) My parents also came by to assist and bring food for everyone. It went surprisingly quick!

The only thing that concerns me is that the box that has my computer cords has disappeared - the cords are replaceable, but I think my camera is also in that box. I'm hoping that it was just mistakenly left behind at the old apartment along with spare empty boxes that we didn't end up needing.

B. and I worked hard last night to get a great deal of our stuff put away. Today I'm tackling my clothes closet (very excitedly!) and may even get some art up on the walls. I'll definitely post a photo when we're done. This place truly is big with ample storage, which is a total godsend!

I think my new photo location will be on our spacious porch for now, setting up a tripod and standing against the wall. At least in the summer, the light seems to be decent out there. There's a wall in my dining room that would probably work pretty well in winter when there isn't good enough light for outdoor photos.

That blue dress in #5 has got to be my all time Kari favourite - blue with orange (your hair :)). It's a 20 out of 10.
