This is Part 3 of the booties saga (Part 2 is here, Part 1 is here).

In previous episode
US size 10 is too big for me, US size 9 was on the narrow side. This is how EUR sizes 40 and 41, which I had ordered, were converted.

9.5 was lost in translation. Bummer.

The latest update
All was not lost as I figured out very quickly Size 9 would break in easily. But, I am not 100% sold on them. They are very dramatic and I fear I'd feel too self-conscientious wearing such pattern on my feet. And I'm not keen on the material they are made of. With the spring coming and my cycling everywhere, I have no idea how they'd behave as I rub them against the pedals.

Conclusion
The booties are absolutely beautiful and no doubts super comfortable, I had a lot of ideas how to style them, but something was missing, the spark, the magic... something. They probably have one of the nicest shapes I've seen in a long while and they just make legs and the whole figure look feel even more feminine.

But, thanks to them I actually figured out I am not much of a animal pattern girl, perhaps some zebra (stripes) or giraffe (geometry), but cheetah/leopard on my feet is not really me. Perhaps that's it, I don't know or I may just not be ready to go that wild with my look.

Having said that, I completely understand why this style of bootie had gained such big and faithful following and will keep an eye on it, perhaps something in the color I'd feel more comfortable with will happen.

ETA
The most important lesson
I have resisted the temptation of (a) beautiful piece that would undoubtedly (b) lift up and refresh my stale wardrobe, and all at a very (c) decent price due to it being on sale. But, it wasn't right, for whatever reason, and we parted our ways. With each return we come closer to our true style selves, right? I feel more mature now

Big thank you to everyone who chimed in with comments while I was still at decisioning stage.

x,
O.
