Eileen Fisher harem pants review: bad photos added

Well, I typed a whole surely fascinating post about my entire Nordstrom order and what is staying or going back, but once again the pop-up ad in the sidebar caused me to lose the post. Hair has been torn out.

So here's the short version. Most is going back, but the EF harem pants which I ordered after Angie's recommendation are perfect. They are comfy as anything and make me feel cool, tough and edgy. They look good with my midcalf boots. I ordered a size down to an XS as Angie recommended and of course that advice was spot-on. I LOVE THEM. They are the perfect new silhouette to help me mix it up a bit. I am planning to wear them with blazers and sweaters for now. Will take pics when my camera charges. (ETA: PHOTOS DOWNTHREAD)

I've noticed how much variation there is in harem pant/drop crotch - some more rectangular, some more pegged, some more like jodhpurs. This draped straight look is the best for me by far. It's sleek without bunchy bulk.

The skull sweater is going back AGAIN - it's just too much chunkiness on my wide shoulders. *sob*

I think this year's style is less severe, meaning the crotch is not as dropped, is that right? Or maybe I just saw them styled differently.

On me and in a size down they are full length and there is less crotch fabric. Also you can pull them up or down to adjust the sag factor.

Whoa, those are awesome. I will enjoy these vicariously. I'm pretty sure DD's eyes would roll back in their heads never to be seen again if I showed up anywhere wearing those (with them.) Maybe I should get them for when they both go off to college. Hmm.

Una are these the really low drop crotch harems from EF? I cannot decide between those and one pair from EF that is more mid drop with a legging look. Good thing is I don't have to decide until I have the funds to purchase lol.

No these are the mid-drop ones Angie recently posted - can you see my link? They are not too exaggerated but still edgy. I couldn't wear the full drop ones because I need to be able to tuck into boots. You would ROCK these, Deborah!

Oops cross-posted! They are quite legging-ish. Tucked into my mid-calf boots there is not a lot of spillage over the top of the shaft. If that makes any sense. Will see if I can get pics now.

Okay, the lighting in the house is so bad at this time of evening - here are some uniquely bad pics, one pulled up higher and one like the model. The legs are actually not legging tight but they are not baggy either, and I have scrawny calves. Worn with what I wore to work today, except the neon beanie.

One more question. Are these a transeasonal item? I know your winter is much much colder than ours but Im thinking (hoping ) these might work across all seasons?

These are not very heavyweight - they really aren't deep winter pants for me but for most climates I think they are at least spring/summer/fall. However, they feel like they would travel REALLY well on a plane or in suitcase.
