Oh those are excellent. I wish I didn't dislike synthetics - I should get over that. I tried on American Apparel's cotton harem leggings/pants this week and they were ok but (no surprise) the cotton doesn't drape as well as the viscose of yours.

I almost bought some light wool knit to make my own, but I'm afraid they'd end up like the diaper crotch failures on a recent season of Project Runway.

These actually feel like a silky cotton. I paid zero attention to fabric! These seem right up your alley, Greyscale!

Not even in the same stratosphere, but Old Navy had a pair of similar, but obviously not as luxurious, pants in their loungewear section last week. I bought a pair and instantly thought I could live in them. i went back after seeing your post so I could share a link for anyone who might want a cheap test drive version, and they're totally gone. They were called "harem-style cropped pants". The crotch is probably a bit higher and they don't have the pleating action yours do. I hope they come back, I'd probably buy 3 more pairs. I'm afraid I'm going to wear these out too soon because they're so comfy for lounging around the house in, but the new shape is refreshing and makes me want to wear them every day.

Wow, thank you all so much! I did not expect this kind of love. Maybe a big smile helps! The good thing about these pants is that they can be scrunched to the knee or worn full length giving all heights options to wear them. Highly recommended (though they have not been worn or washed yet).
