The next picture perfect challenge should be around November 15. Do you have any ideas? So far, we did world's most expensive paintings and photographs. What else would you want to be inspired by? Nature? movies?

Is it cool enough yet to do the fall wardrobe remix challenge that I posted about earlier? I know people said they didn't want to do it until the weather turned cooler. Aida and Khris did some fabulous remixing but even I haven't had time to do that challenge yet.

Bella, thank you so much for running this challenge. I had so much fun! I think that what struck me most was that how even though certain decades, such as the 1960s, were easier for me to incorporate, I definitely have elements of various other style eras incorporated into my daily wear too. (My full collection is included in the photo below.)

One inspiration idea that I thought would be fun would be choosing a few National Geographic photos: http://photography.nationalgeo.....otography/
Who else wants to create an outfit inspired by angry peacocks, a gorgeous nightscape on the Italian coast, or colorful sea anemones?

Natalie - I most certainly don't claim to have monopoly over the right to start challenges on the forum. Feel free to start that wardrobe challenge you were talking about. It sounds fun. When organizing a challenge, I find it easier to decide most of the logistics on my own ahead of time and have just a bit of input from the forum members regarding the content of the challenge.

Here's my 2 pennies worth (or 3 cents according to today’s exchange rate).

I've had a blast time with each of these challenges and can't wait for another one. But, I'd like to have fewer of them because it will keep them more anticipated and therefore more interesting. If we have too many / one per month I fear we may quickly run out of really fun ideas. Plus, preparing does take time which may deter people from participating. That is minor issue however, there is a really practical side to them in guidance what to wear the next day, but for me too frequent challenges would take away the fun a bit. One per season maybe? I'm guided by some manufacturers' philosophy "To maintain the air of exclusivity, always produce one item less than there is demand!"

So, with that weight off my chest, here are my ideas for future challenges:
- the designer
- the movies / movie stars
- the first ladies
- architectural wonders - ancient world
- architectural wonders - modern designs
- continent (after all the discussion about Euro chic, and American style, let's spread it out)
- the song

I think I vote with Ornella for making these seasonal as it heightens anticipation and increases the fun factor.

But Natalie, I also think we could do your challenge because it is quite a different type of challenge, to my mind. More a practical application kind of challenge, if you know what I mean vs. an "exploring our use of inspirations" challenge.

Kari, brilliant idea - National Geographic photos. You're a genius!

And I've just thought of something else - cakes as inspiration. Natalie's thread here gave me an idea :))

I'm thinking: Black Forrest cake (my cup of tea immediately, black, red, white), Sacher cake (for the fans of mixing brown+black), Tarte Tatin, Dobos Cake, Tiramisu...

I don't know if Janet would mind, but her Iceland trip photos were stunning - along the same lines as Kari's National Geographic suggestion. I'm inspired by them!
On the other hand, who doesn't like cake....
