Citygirldc, I love both of your outfits! The blouse in the 2nd outfit is especially breathtaking. Kudos to you for going the extra mile - the 60s is my favorite era too. *grin*
Okay. So, in many ways, the 1960s is TOO easy for me; I think I dress like a modern-day Mad Men character (fitted pencil skirts, bow blouses, scarves, pearls, colorful heels) most every day at work. The body-conscious, pencil-skirted, curve-hugging silhouettes really work to my advantage. So to try to make this a true challenge, I tried to do something a bit different than the norm.
#1-2 is full on Mad Men a la season 2 Joan Hollway. Normally I try to avoid being quite SO literal, veering into costume territory - though I am lacking a longline bra, hair that can curl or be pinned back, and a vintage gold pen pendant necklace:

"I feel like I’m stuck somewhere between Doris Day in Pillow Talk and Midnight Lace, when what I need to be is Kim Novak in just about anything."
(My version: Red ponte knit dress, red structured handbag, red/white paisley printed silk scarf, gold key brooch, red patent pumps, nude microfishnets, pearl stud earrings.)
Then I decided to try something that really played against my type, inspired by Audrey Hepburn's turtlenecks and skinny pants in Funny Face (even though the movie was released in the late 50's, the style carried over into the 60's.)

"[Fashion] is chichi, and an unrealistic approach to self-impressions as well as economics."
(My version: black beret, black turtleneck, silver pendant necklace on a black cord, black skinny jeans, red patent pumps.)
