I'm definately wearing mine to work...that's part of the fun in my book!

I wore my cape today, too! And my black and orange boots. This is DEFINATELY my more favorite decade for many reasons. For one thing, there was a LOT going on in the 60's...beatniks, Mods, Jackie O., holdovers from the 50's, Hippies. Something for everyone!

Jenav, where is the pic? I want to see my cape twin!

Jackie O. Mod look. Psychedelic patterns. Twiggy. I give you the 60s.

Okay - back to comment!

Sveta, that cape is amazing on you! It's interesting how many items actually get their debut on these challenge threads. You look wonderful in it. Jenava, hope to get to see yours, too.

I'm amazed at how many people came up with two outfits! A very inspiring decade. Citygirl, I love your first outfit. So simple and so chic.

Kari, you really pulled out all the stops! I love how different your interpretations are and how you really challenged yourself to try something a bit different. The red outfit is STUNNING! You look radiant.

Deborah, I LOVE the sweep of your hair in photo 1. And how did I guess you would choose black and white?

Ornella, you are so clever to pick a 60s movie for inspiration, and wow, that sweater and scarf and skirt look beautiful on you.

Natalie, I adore your first interpretation, but then I have to say that since we were obviously on the same wavelength today!

Glam, those shades just make the look!

Jj - that first dress is fantastic on you! Really, when I opened the photo I thought: This is her era!! And the print on the other one....WOW!

Kimlee, #1 is fantastic! You look great in the mini!

And Bella, I love both your looks, but once again I'm drawn to #2 since it's similar to my idea.

MaryK - vivid as always and still work-appropriate. You're so clever.

Mamakate - love the details! The scarf is amazing tucked in like that.

Carole, wow, you look wonderful in that outfit!!

Antje, great question. I consider it part of the challenge to dress for the day, although in our picture challenge I created one outfit that I could not wear that day, because it was an evening look. So far this week I have been wearing mine (for working at home, mind you) but I had lots of errands. I did have to change my shoes yesterday because they weren't made for the weather. And today I admit I wasn't wearing the outfit this morning because I had to be dressed for yard work; some guys were supposed to come to take down a tree (and never came...) but I had to be available to help with things in the garden.

Thanks again, Bella. This is such a fun thing to do. I love using pieces from the closet in different ways and seeing them with fresh eyes.

Suz, honestly, you are just rocking this challenge like nobody's business!!!

Awww....gee, thanks, Mary K!

Ok, here's my take on what you've come up with.

@Sveta, what a start of the thread. I really love the cape, the RED cape, but above all seeing the playful side of you. Brilliant!

@citigirl, wow - both outfits are totally up my alley. 1-2 is what I wear anyway 3-4 has got smashing 60s vibe, I love the collar of your top and the shoes in particular.

@Kari, I want your dress, your pumps, your brooch, your bag... everything! And I really like your black outfit too. I can see why it's quite dark for you, but that polkadot
scarf you wore the other day with the turquoise skirt would soften this one too. I love seeing you in black, it's different.

@Deborah, this dress is exactly why I love 60s. You have some really pretty pieces!

@goldenpig, spot-on. I adore the scarf, the bag is perfect touch, and that yellow dress with self-belt screams vintage style to me.

@glam, delicious. Scarf, sunnies, pants, everything. Oh, yes, and that smile!

@Kimlee, Twiggy, is jealous I can tell you that much, you look fab.

@Jjsloane, gorgeous! I love seeing more of you during these challenges

@bella, promise no.1 will be worn somewhere, please.

@MaryK, super outfit and the beads are my favorite coz they are such fun finishing touch.

@Astrid, get well soon

@Kate, again amazing outfit, I know how many aspects you address with it. Gorgeous jacket btw.

@Carole, could this be my favorite look on you? Very, very likely.

@Suz, be still my heart! Your joy is infectious and I have a hard time checking your outfit because your smile is dazzling. You are one truly beautiful woman.

I must say I have a huge grin and a few happy tears in my eyes, seeing some outfits really reminded me of my mum! I am attaching two photos of my favorite mum's dresses, the ones I loved playing dressing up with. It's quite obvious where my love for the LBD and red dresses comes from. I have photographed them this spring hoping to be able to recreate the patterns and re-make them in my own size.

Love all the 60's looks. I just looked at the pics 'cause I'm in a hurry. This is the best I could do. I added a hump for a pouffy pony but it doesn't show up as well in the photo.

Here is my 1960s inspired outfit. This is one of my favorite fashion decades, and I decided to play with styles I don't sport often: mod & gogo. All of these pieces are rarely worn (and this is the first time I've even worn the dress!), and probably wouldn't have ever been paired together if not for this challenge. I think it turned out pretty fun

Going back to check all the other submissions now!

Oh, Ornella, those dresses of your mother's are SO fab! I can't WAIT to see you in the recreations. What a wonderful way to make her memory live inside you and celebrate her spirit.

Wow, Aida! Pop art lives! It's great to see you here by the way; I've been missing you the past few days!

Tracina, the ponytail is great! And I absolutely loved yesterday's dress. Didn't get a chance to comment specifically then, but must do so now because you looked so lovely in it.

Everyone has such great looks

Sveta, your new cape works perfectly for this challenge, but this outfit still looks very modern. I think you need to get some elbow length leather gloves (black! cream! cognac! cobalt! fuchsia!) to wear with this cape this winter Love your pose ^^

Citygirl, two cute looks! I especially love the midi pencil with the pointy flats in #1. I can totally see that outfit with a long wool coat, Hollywood sunnies, and gloves for glam outerwear.

Kari, I don't think the first outfit came out costumey at all (also, yowza!). The shape of your red handbag is so neat, and the red lipstick is just perfect there. I ADORE the black outfit, though I understand your not wanting to wear so much black; maybe if you swapped the black pants for skinny jeans and the black beret for a colorful one?

Deborah, GREAT vintage dress! The white trim against the all black outfit is superb. You and I were on the same wavelength today

Ornella, I can definitely see that the 60s are your favorite fashion era in your style This is such a cute outfit, and the colors of your scarf are gorgeous against the blue top and your face (and echoed brilliantly with the white pumps!).

Natalie, both great looks! I love the scarf in #1, awesome print! You look lovely in that second dress, the cheerful yellow suits you.

Jjsloane, too bad neither outfit made it to work, especially digging the print in your second dress. Your hair straight in #1 looks so cute (that would be a fab going-out outfit)!

Kimlee, outfit #1 has great date night potential! If it's getting cold where you are, add some textured hose and a pile of sparkly bangles and you're set. Did you wear outfit #2 to work? It's cute!

Bella, oooh #1 is so glamorous! Love the updo. Your classroom take does a great job capturing the same vibe, and those gray slouchy boots are just awesome.

Mary, the coral and yellow is so FUN! (I think I have that same yellow belt ^^) If it cools down enough for you, I bet this dress would look lovely with tall tan boots.

MamaKate, you did a fab job adding contrasting elements to your black outfit! The scarf's print and tie look wonderful.

Carole, great shirtdress/tunic I love that your belt matches almost exactly to your inspiration photo, and that you repeated the colors from your scarf with your shoes. (OK and also that both of those items are printed, but not the SAME print. Very cool.)

Suz, SASSY poses! I adore all the textural interest you have going in your outfit (I just want to reach through my screen and touch each item!). And the blend of inspiration styles you listed... they work amazingly well together. Thank you also for your comment, it's good to be back <3

Tracina, love the slim pants with the sleeveless turtleneck! Is it sparkly, too? I can picture the bump on the pony, great touch

OK, sorry, I had to get home and download the pics off my camera!

Sveta, not identical cape twins, but at least we both had the same idea for a 60's vibe. I knew I wanted to wear these boots for this decade. I *heart* them and they are comfortable.

High-five, cape "almost" twin for the 60s! Jenava, these boots are to die for - so cool!
Everybody captured the era so well and I really hope you all wore these outfits today as they are great!

Yeah, the 60's rock! High-five.

wow, jenava - your boots are gorgeous!

Antje - to answer your question: I absolutely wear these outfits to work. That's why I posted two pictures today. The first one was nowhere near work-appropriate so I changed into the second. I really enjoy having an inspiration to work with when I get dressed in the morning. That's why I start these challenges.
That said, I don't want anyone to feel excluded. If you only dress up for the challenge, that's fine, too. Please keep posting!

I loved looking at these pictures. Thanks to everyone for making the effort for us all!

Antje, due to work commitments this week, including some travel, not all of my outfits posted for the challenge were work appropriate so unfortunately I haven't been able to wear them all this week. I did enjoy the process of putting the outfits together though and would like to consider further how I can tweak them to make them more suitable for work

Um, kind of too late, but I only realized this morning that I accidentally posted yesterday's 60s outfit in the 50s thread. So duplicating it here - second photo is the one I settled on:

OMG, Jenava! Those boots!! I die!!!

Suz - I promise that dress will be worn soon on a date night. I just have to mention that I won it from a blog giveaway.
Aida - you remind me that I should give a shout out to April. I got the awesome Steve MAdden boots from her at the CT swap.
Thank you all for playing along!

Running late with this one. I went for a mini look, but wore leggings underneath for modesty! I didn't wear this to work.

Jenava, what a gorgeous cape! I adore how capes look with long leather gloves. And those boots! I don't think I've seen tipped boots like that, they're so cool!

Antje, CUTE little bow Especially love the contrast of cuteness it makes with the tougher textured white blouse.

Sharon, looks like a great weekend outfit to me! The leggings work very nicely here, especially with the layered tee. I really like the two different earthy tones you have there, and that is a lovely tassel necklace.

I am so late getting into this one, but I wouldn't miss it, because the '60s is my favorite decade when it comes to dressing for it.

Black and Teal bubble-hem party dress with Stuart Weitzman black suede boots
Black and white houndstooth wraparound with ribbon-closing belt and white Wolford top
Maggy London dress

This WAS FUN!! Off to see Austin Powers; he just pulled up in his cute Brit mini!

Vicki all such great outfits! No 3 is to die for... I love it.

I know...those are amazing, Vicki! Great stuff!

Sharon - I just went back and looked at the pictures and I absolutely loved every single outfit you posted for this challenge.
