Hooray! As much as I've loved being uniform "mom" to my 80 teenagers, I am so glad to see the end of marching season! No more muddy, white pants - EVER!

#1 -2: Here's what I wore on Senior Night at the reception honoring the senior band students. I'm wearing a Classiques Entier silk blouse under my jacket that I got at the Nordstrom's half-yearly sale. I used my Nordie's Notes and it ended up costing me $14!

#3: Same top worn with black Kut from the Kloth skinny jeans and AGL ballet flats. I wore this to an evening gathering at a friend's house. Is the top long enough for jeans?

#4-5: Shown here with Halogen seamed skirt, Sofft Mary Jane pumps, and patterned tights from NAS.

I love #4 - the combination of colours and pattern is so flattering and interesting.
I think the top is long enough in #3, and wearing the long necklace elongates the look a bit more.
#1 is a very nice classic outfit. Might look even nicer with more colour underneath.

The band hats and uniforms are gorgeous. Did you have the job of caring for the uniforms?
You look very nice in your new jacket. I think the top is long enough with the jeans and the long necklace looks great. #4 is very pretty. I love the zigzag hose!

San, I'm a parent volunteer. I've headed up the uniform committee for three years doing everything from fitting the marching uniforms and concert attire, washing pants, scheduling dry cleaning, arranging alterations, helping the kids get dressed, and attending every game and competition. I'll let you know a secret....I can't even sew on a button for the life of me! Masking tape and safety pins are my friends!

Sarah, you know I'm an enabler! I bought it in small, which is my usual size. I didn't try the medium, but I'm wondering if perhaps it might have had a little more length to it.

Michelle, the top is silk with loose 3/4 length sleeves and fitted cuffs. It has a split neck that forms a slight vee and pleating over the bust. The website description says it's an amur ombre print, which I'm guessing refers to the graduation of color and pattern on the blouse. It starts out as a pale blue, gradually becoming more saturated as it reaches the hem. It has a subdued pattern which is reminiscent of tiger stripes (an amur tiger, I'm thinking, with light, narrow, widely spaced stripes).
