I loved the pattern on this tube top, but I have never *ever* worn tube tops. They just feel like wardrobe malfunctions waiting to happen. For a buck, I thought I'd try to save the pretty fabric.

Off came the ruffle and bandeau bra portion, and I was left with an elastic waist tube of material that just fit over my hips and behind. I'll take it!

I really love the finished product! I have tried this in the past but ended up with a skirt that was too short for leaving the house in! I haven't seen too many boob tube tops that are long enough to make a decent skirt, so this was a great find!

Diana, I know what you mean about most tube tops - I have definitely ended up with those tiny "skirts" before.

Angie, you noticed the pumps! I thought I needed some serious shoes to balance the crazy colored top and skirt. Black patent leather is so oh so somber and serious to me these days, heh heh...

As you are a baseball fan, I'll put it this way. You've knocked this one out of the park!! And, you're right, that is very pretty material. Like Angie, I was surprised by the pumps, but I can see this skirt with either your Timberlands or Frye Julias.

Nice save! I've done this as well and was pretty happy with how it came out and how easy it was (not much of a seamstress to say the least).
I'm also liking the pumps with the skirt.

And it's a galaxy print! I can see what you saw in that silly bubble top: possibilities! I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with how expensive it looks--not like a craft project. The lime blouse with it is brilliant and unexpected. The blazer, pumps and bag ground all of the bright trends and give it *banker clout* for work. Good to see snake-y again!
