So...jeans and jacket are the same. New top from Anthro, and black oxfords that I'm finally starting to wear after years of neglect (I'd thought they gave me blisters).

The comments on structure really had an impact on me. I wanted to keep working with the white jeans as an experiment, but the black shoes were also part of the plan. I had this with a black tee and it was going well, but needed more something. A more interesting topper. This whole thing has made me see how inadequately prepared I am for warmer weather. With that look, the jeans jacket was kind of nondescript. All the rest of my jackets are more suitable for fall. I kind of wish I was still fashion-depressed and not into making an effort. It was all a lot simpler in a way.

I decided to switch out the top instead. The new silk tank from Anthropologie has some pattern which I thought pulls some of the weight that a more visually interesting jacket would. Anyway the outfit basically pleases me now, though I wish I could have stayed with the sleek t-shirt for a color block effect.

I also want to thank everyone for all your excellent comments, past and future. They are really thoughtful and encouraging. And I find them so useful. I will probably be actively posting WIWs for a while as I try to nail all this down. Mwah! Xoxo
