The Stuart Weitzman flats were the item I was most excited to see in the NAS catalog. My shoe guy at my local Nordstrom kept after them until he found a pair in one of the sizes I wear. They arrived today. I put them on long enough to take a photo a la Thistle's above.
I got the 7 M and probably need the 7W or perhaps 7.5 W. But I don't even like the look of them well enough on my feet to try other sizes--even if they were available.

The shoes are beautiful, and the coloring is perfect for me. Sigh--another $280 saved!

Well, all I can say is - Yea, for $280.

Stuart and I do not get along, either. Not this shoe, but overall the SW last must not be made for me. I'm not saying I'd never try more, but it hasn't been a productive vein. Paul Green is much, much scarier ($$ at risk !).

Oh bummer. Funny, SW and PG both seem to work well for me, but my feet are narrow-ish. I looked at the plaid version of those flats online but decided I wouldn't really get enough wear out of them to justify the purchase.

I love them. They look like a classic that would go with everything. But my soles have gotten too wide for SW.

I never like ballet flats on me either Sharan...these are cute but the fact that the spots are going different directions would kick my OCD into overdrive!

Bummer. All the more disappointing to wait all this time to try them-- more time for the anticipation to build.

But you definitely don't want to spend almost $300 for shoes that hurt your feet.

Ann, that aspect did not escape my notice, either! Was not thrilled with the mismatched directions.

Truthfully, Suz, I think I already bought the next Paul Greens. I bought two pairs of booties at NAS that I did not plan to buy. (Though I had been thinking of replacing a pair that weren't looking so fab lately. So it wasn't a total impulse.)

Windchime, it's funny, but I didn't really have high hopes that these would work, especially after Thistle's experience. I just figured it was worth a try. I haven't yet bought a pair of SW shoes. The few I have tried haven't worked out for me.

I have mixed luck with SW. The more refined the shoe, the better the fit. I have a hard time with this particular style of shoe from all designers. I keep trying but it never looks good on my foot. i have the same mixed luck with Paul Green.

I love the idea of a animal print shoe - and have a few in fact. But I can never wrap my head around the look of pointed toe flat ....I don't find they do any favours to most feet in terms of flattery. Not that round toe ones are any better, but the pointed toe ultra flat silhouette seems to add width visually . I don't know - I 'm just thinking aloud here. Yay for saving $280

Pretty shoes. I find I do not care for super pointy toes on my size 9 feet.

Denise, yes I have in mind I'd like to have some more current-looking ballet flats. I really like this pair of AGLs, but I didn't want them badly enough to buy them full price. So I waited to see if there might be something like them at NAS. Part of what drew me was the pewtery color of the toe cap, and the plain style (i.e., without any belt or other ornament at the cap).
I'm also drawn to the Vince d'Orsay style, but I tried them on when I bought my heeled d'Orsays and I didn't like the flats on my feet. The look was duck feet in pointy toes.

I had the same heartbreak with those shoes. I loved the color tones, as opposed to other leopard shoes that are much more orange/yellow in hue.

But they were *just* a smidge too tight at the base of my toes. If they were under $100 I probably would have justified keeping them and having them stretched, but not for that price.

UmmLila, that is an attractive option on the Cole Haans. I considered it but thought it was maybe too much of a print for me. I wish I could have seen in IRL, though.
