These were the only item in the catalogue I loved. My size was sold out day 1 of the sale at 6 am, so I pounced on day 2 when they came back in stock.

While they are true to size, they are NOT comfortable. As a matter of fact, I took two steps in them and wanted them off. I had hoped the pointed toe from Stuart Weitzman would be comfortable. Alas, they are not. I just think my feet reject pointed toe shoes I will have to settle for almond toes.

So sorry; they are cute. I am totally in the same boat. My toes reject nearly all pointy toed shoes. My tiny toes are nearly the same length as my big toes but also are twisted inwards, so a pointy shape mashes my toes together, the big ones overlap the tiny ones, and it's really uncomfortable. It's hard to pass up pretty shoes but not worth being in pain or unable to walk long distances due to less than stellar footwear.

Thistle, can you go up half a size? Maybe that would help?

I do find that it makes a huge difference how the shoe is designed. I have very square toes, complete with Morton's toe, but I can do some pointed ones. you just have to make sure the pointed part is beyond the area your toes are, not cutting into it. Keep persevering!

But these ones ARE gorgeous.

Great looking shoes and I feel you on a pointy toe shoe - They are so fab on everyone else but my clunky loving foot does not like a pointy toe plus with walking all day my toes end up squished and hurt.

I have had to rebuild my whole shoe warerobe as i have come accept the type of shoe my foot likes.

Yeah, uncomfortable shoes don't have a home in my closet. If they were comfortable, though, they would be insanely versatile. The shoe itself looks very well made. It's really too bad!

Elizabeth, I had never heard of Morton's toe before, but I googled it and I am displeased to know that's why my feet and legs are misbehaving. Thanks for the info, though.

I have the same problem with pointy toes because of my square-ish toes and wide-ish forefoot. I love the look but it does not love me. Althogh Elizabeth's remark gives me hope...
It was a smart decision Thistle because comfort is shoes is not for a compromise in my book.
But you got tall boots which are hard for you to fit - it is a reason to celebrate, right?!

I have Morton's toe too (longer second toe) but can wear pointy toes usually. I do wonder if my intolerance for most heels is related to though. Thistle sorry about the disappointment.

I am disappointed about the shoes, but as Sveta noted, I found tall boots which is a serious HEWI for me! And, I found an asymmetrical top which I have wanted for a long time. I am quite happy!

Thistle, I have a feeling they might be the same for me. Since I haven't yet gotten to try them --and I might not be able to--I'm thinking it's a $260 or so savings!

Oh, and they were the one thing in the catalog besides undies I was excited about, too.

Yep, I have the same problem with pointy toes. Duck feet. And sizing up doesn't help because then the shoes fall off my narrow heel when I walk.

I do have one pair of pointy kitten heels that somehow work but they are spendy Bruno Maglis. Even with those my toes get a bit sore by the end of the night.

Same as Diana-sizing up, or buying wide widths, usually means the shoes are too big in a different place PLUS they slide forward into the pointy toe box and still get crunched!

Dissapointing but.... next!
Pointy toes in general do not like me. I have one pair of pointy- almond toe fkats that works but havd quit looking at any pointy flats.
However paradoxically I'm considering some pointy booties that are rather comfortable and I might BR brave enough to wear with skirts, so, a HEWI thing, potentially targeting for a few specific outfits.

I've had the same experience as Elizabeth with pointy toes. The shoe needs to start narrowing to a point beyond your toes. Almond toes are more classic anyway. Next.

I have a bunch of pointy toed shoes and booties in my shopping cart for when NAS is open to the public. And I have no idea if any of them will work, pointy toes are the hardest to fit, for me anyway. So I feel your pain!
