Hello! Not sure if anyone will remember me but I used to post here a lot a few years ago under a different name. Now that YLF is so busy I feel more comfortable using a name that is not my real one.

Life got very busy when I adopted a baby girl and while I've kept up on the blog I didn't have time for the forums. Another baby girl joined us this past winter and I'm starting to find my way back out from under the chaos and exhaustion of those early months, so I think I'm ready to pop back here at least from time to time.

I'm still very much in the super-physical phase of parenting two very young kids, so my lifestyle these days requires a super-casual wardrobe that can handle being drenched in bodily fluids and baby food on a regular basis. I currently can't wear my beloved necklaces or earrings because my curious 9 month old will tear them off me (looking forward to the end of that particular stage!). I also need enough freedom of movement to carry a baby on my back, sit down on the damp park grass, or haul my thrashing tantruming preschooler home from the playground when necessary. "Heel" and "iron" are four letter words in my house these days.

All that to say that I was excited to find these high-waisted raspberry jeans at Urban Outfitters. I've been looking for some for almost a year (now I just need cobalt ones as well--they were sold out of my size at UO). I wore them with a micro-stripe Old Navy tank, a denim jacket from NAS a few years ago, and Minnetonka mocs to a local market with the family this morning. My pink- and purple-loving 3 year old declared the jeans "cool, Mommy!" I'm quite pleased with them. The salesgirl warned me they'd stretch out a full size and they are indeed already a bit looser than they are in the pic below (which I'm happy about).
