WIW: Day 1 of 30x30 and WIB

I wore another 'normal' outfit today, with two of the pieces from my 30x30 challenge - my purple shirt and my light wash skinny jeans. Sorry the outfit photo is crooked, my brother is my photographer while he is here and he isn't taking this very seriously.

I took my brothers to the mall today, where I went to return two of the three skirts I bought in Paris. With part of the returns, I bought two pairs of flats that were on sale - buy one, get one half off. The first are a pretty pair of floral flats and the second are basic black flats with a twist - they're lace! I'm very happy with both

I like your feminine, tonal outfit today - and cute flats! The floral ones are so "now" and fun.

Thanks rae! I was so happy to find floral flats after Angie posted about them! I returned the Zara lace skirt. If it isn't a 10, I can save for something better right?

Hi. I am very interested in your 30x30 challenge. I assume you are limiting yourself to 30 articles of clothing. Does that mean 30 articles of clothing for a period of 30 days? This is a challenge I find intriguing. It would certainly make me think long and hard about my clothing choices.

Reading over your list of items, you don't include shoes in your top 30. I would probably include shoes, but omit things like accessories and jewelry. Since today is June 1st, I am going to take the challenge as well. I am starting on my list.

Mary: Yep! It means mixing and matching 30 items of clothing over 30 days, with no repeats. Shoes and accessories are not included. It is a great way to make sure you wear some of the neglected items in your closet and come up with fab outfits. It also helps identify wardrobe holes and to purge crappy clothes! It would be great if you join in

No repeats. That would be impossible for me. I am going to alter your challenge to wear only 30 pieces of clothing for a period of 30 days. Does that seem too easy?

I love these pared-down challenges! (Is there an earlier thread on it with the rules? Will go look for it.)

Great shoe finds --- the black lace reminds me of my red crochet pair, which I've almost worn to death! These look even more versatile. Seconding the idea to wear the florals with the purple shirt, though they'll probably be fabulous with those jeans no matter what's on top in summer!
