Sveta posted this the other day about a new Danier Leather blush moto http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ather-moto and so while running errands last night with DS, we popped in to have a look...BAD IDEA!!!

Unfortunately they did not have the blush version in my store but they had the exact same jacket in beige/taupe so I could at least try on the jacket for fit and style. And it is GORGEOUS! It would be cropped on someone tall but on 5 foot me, it is the perfect length. The gold hardware is absolutely beautiful and the details in terms of the stitching (some moto quilting on the shoulder area) absolutely beautiful. The leather is buttery soft as well. It is light enough to wear as an indoor topper, which would be my preference.

The jacket is normally $399, on sale for $299 plus an additional $50 off in store only until Monday. Danier offered to order me in the blush version and I would get it in 2-3 days. Or I could go to one of the other Danier stores in my city which is apparently carrying the jacket. I decided to go home and sleep on it so as not to do anything impulsive but c'mon...who are we kidding...you know I'm gonna get it

They hook you. They draw you in with the smell of level and then keep you in the store with the touch of their buttery softness; their amazing details.

I think it's a plot to get Americans to move more of the border.

I wonder if it can come down i price even morew Shannon. This is definitely a new arrival which was not in the store a month ago and usually they go down 50% at least...and I never had a problem with them selling out...
On the other hand if oyu are itching to wear it now then it is all good!

Thanks for validating that it will not work for me length wise - I am safe now from the temptation!:-)

Sveta - it is indeed on the short side. The hem is at my high hip. I do agree that if I waited, it would probably go down further in price but by then, could be too hot to wear (well...I can only HOPE it will be too hot by then...). I'd love to pair it now with white jeans, my faded BF jeans, over my EF dress... It is a gorgeous jacket Sveta - thank you for pointing it out. But do me a favor please and don't provide links to anymore, ok???

First of all, so excited for you and please model it when you get it!

Second, do you know if they would honor the store price if I called on the phone? Or better to sale stalk maybe as its not cool enough for me to wear for months.

Would you mind to share the size you got as I think I am about the same maybe a smidge bigger than you and can use your fit info to gauge which size would work for me? Thanks so much. PM if you prefer.

abc - I think they would honor the price over the phone. They have excellent service so I don't see why not. As Sveta pointed out, if you wait, it will undoubtedly come down in price but then there is a slight risk they will be out your size.

I wear both a medium and a large in Danier depending on the style and the shoulder fit. I'm very narrow in the shoulders so that is where I try to fit the jacket the best. For the blush moto, I went with medium. That's the same size as my white jacket and black blazer from Danier. Do note though that I can just barely zip it up and it will not layer over a bulky sweater. My Amity blue Danier jacket I went with in a large because I wanted to be able to wear it as an actual outdoor jacket and be able to zip up. For comparison, I wear a size 12 in shirts and blazers.

Shannon, thanks for the fit and sizing report! I don't need much in the way of outdoor wear - this will be mostly indoor and with thin layers so I'm thinking a M will work. If I pull the trigger I will let you all know! Thanks again.

Rae - no pic cause they are ordering the blush one in for me. I tried on the same jacket in beige to determine fit but they didn't have the blush in yet. No pic of me wearing beige cause I look horrendous in it!

Since the price was $299, they even suggested I could buy one of their resuable shopping bags for 2.99, but I need the protector anyway - they said Danier products only to maintain the 1 year warranty.

It's a beautiful jacket! I like that you can unzip from the bottom - gives me a bit of ease in the hips and will help with the fact I usually wear longer tops, making some cropped motos unworkable. Now just wondering if it is total overkill to wear it with my rose gold converse

Lol Jules, I was on the site last night and saw the 100 off. So then I wasn't as smart as you. I was thinking of adding a purse to push me (well) over the 300 mark to get 100 off rather than 50. I also bought the protector which gave me the additional 100 dollars of as well I stopped by my sister house to model my new purchase for her and by the time I got home ( i live less than 10 minutes from her) there was a message on my phone that she had just bought in online too lol

Jules and Spoff, can you comment on the sizing that you purchased compared to your regular sizing? I'm typically a 6 on top, but I'm an IT so sometimes shoulders are tight.
