I've been pretty lax on taking pictures of my outfits, but here are a few from December:

I have a few specific questions:

What do you all think of the brown tights with the outfit on 12-9?

Is the jumper too short to be worn as I have worn it on 12-4?

You always look amazing. You are so lucky to be able to wear the beautiful warm colors.
I love the brown tights and don't see any reaon why you would doubt them. I also think fishnets in nude or brown would be fab.
As for the length of the tunic on 12-4, it looks wonderful in the picture. Did you feel that it was short when you were moving around in it through the day? If so you might feel more covered if you pair denim skinnies with the tunic. You look great in the tunic-leggings/skinnies style. I love that style and think you should wear the heck out of it.

Hey, Dani, it's great to hear from you again and see some of your cool weather outfits. Overall, I love your outfits; it would be hard to pick a fave. Re: your specific questions, I would try different tights on 12-9. I'm kind of anal about colors, though, so it may just be me. To me, it looks like the colors are so close that you tried to match but didn't quite make it. If you can't get something that looks like an exact match, I'd go for something completely different, like the nude fishnets San mentioned or even something bright to bring out the sweater (if you're confident about your legs). My initial reaction to the 12-4 outfit was, "Wow!!" and that's really saying something, since I don't usually like brown and gray together. I think you look great in the turtleneck/jumper combo. The length didn't even register with me until I returned and read your question about it. It's a great outfit! One other suggestion...perhaps try a wider belt with the orange BF cardi. You are so tall that I think you could really carry off a wider belt with the longer sweater. Not too wide, maybe 1-1/2 to 2 inches. Great outfits! I'm envious that you wear the beautiful warm colors so well!

Dani you have had a great December! I think you totally pull of the jumper with those tights. One thing I have found if I feel a bit self-conscious wearing sheer or even opaque tights with a tunic is to switch to cotton lycra leggings (don't know if they make tights). They are that bit thicker!

It's so good to see you again, Dani. Welcome back! I love all the color you bring into your outfits. It's so great.

Per your specific questions, I don't mind the tights with the 12/9 outfit. I did find the pockets on the skirt a little distracting. I think it's because you have pockets on the jacket and patch pockets on the skirt. It's a lot of pocket going on.

I will be the odd woman out again on the length of the 12/4 tunic. I think it looks a tad short. I LOVE the outfit otherwise. I was going to suggest, like Tam, leggings. Perhaps if you wore leggings that end at the ankle with flats it would look more intentionally like a tunic rather than a really short dress.

I really like the sweater dress over the white shirt from 12/1. Have you considered wearing that with tights and knee high boots instead of the pants? I think that would be really nice.

Wooohoo! You score 10 for the week!

LOVE the new long necklace and the colour combinations. The dress with the tights looks fab if you don’t feel self conscious about the length. I did a similar thing at a Christmas party last week with a short black go-go dress and glittery tights. As long as the tights look like pants, you’re fine. Well done!

I was going to say the dress is a tad short, but it looks very nice on you, so I guess it all depends on how comfortable you feel in it. I also think the brown tights are fine, but the color of the boots is so pretty I might want them to stand out more with a color that doesn't compete quite as much. Someone suggested nude micro fishnets, which sounds like a good idea. Maybe even a brown micro fishnet would work, since it wouldn't be quite as solid brown?

I love the way you wear color!

I feel silly commenting after Angie AND Tarzy, but had to add that the jumper is really cute on you, and it looks fine to me because those tights are very opaque, but that you could also wear it over skinnies. The color of the tights in the jeans skirt outfit looked a tiny bit off to me, and I second the idea of microfishnets in some form. That green velvet blazer is gorgeous on you!

Dani - what awesome combinations and outfits. The length didn't register with me either and I loved the outfit - so whatever you're doing must work. For some reason the sleeve ruffles under your first sweater dress outfit aren't quite sitting right with my eye. Might be that I'm just not used to this look- sorry I can't articulate it better. Other than that, your outfits are a 10 apiece to me. And I thought of you this week as I bought a pair of orange arcopedico shoes. Now I'll have to learn what to wear with orange by looking at your photos.

Dani, you look amazing! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I am really smitten by the sweater dress outfit.
To me the tunic looks a bit short, but I may not be objective here because I tried it at the store over skinnies and I remember thinking - no way I could wear it without pants. I love how you paired it with those boots, the color combo is delicious. And I see you're enjoying your new LC boots too!

I am a bit late here, but I absolutely love everything, you look incredible. I dare say this is the most stylish set of outfits you have ever posted, and you always look good. I think that the brown tights work great and that the dress is not too short to be worn as you did. And I absolutely adore the sweater dress over skinnies!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I think, upon reviewing the picture, it might actually be the denim skirt and the pockets that is throwing the whole look off. I will definitely try the nude micro fishnets.

I wasn't uncomfortable in the jumper, it was when I looked at the picture that I realized it was pretty short. I've worn the jumper over skinnies and I like that look as well. I was trying some variety

Dani, I actually wanted to add that you are definitely one of my icons on this forum because at least for me pulling off a stylish casual lifestyle is much harder than dressing for a smarter work environment. You are surrounded by children and probably a lot of very casual adults all the time and yet you shine with creativity, color, and effortlessness (particularly appropriateness to your lifestyle) *all the time*. Wow.

i think my favorite is the last outfit with the fuschia cardi and ruffle bouse. you look so chic!

i also love the first outfit - you look so artsy with the glasses and the layering and the ruffled sleeves!

and finally, you look so great with the high-waisted belt with the orange sweater - i would suggest pairing the belt with some of your other combos...perhaps under a cardi?

and finally, love the new necklaces! sooo chic!

Angie, so funny as those glasses are about 9 years old...I had some funky eye stuff (given to me with love by my munchkins) and had to pull them out of hiding (and give them a good dusting as well). I will be on the hunt for new specs soon so stay tuned!

Hi Dani, I'm quite a bit late responding, but just wanted to say that you looked great all week - very stylish and pulled together. The outfit from 12/15 is my favorite. I love the color of the sweater and it looks lovely paired with the cream colored shirt. Other highlights are your glasses and the boots - gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
