Can a red patent leather purse be casual?

I saw a beautiful blue red patent leather purse at TJ Maxx today and was really tempted to purchase it, but wondered if it would be too dressy if I tried to wear it with knits and bermuda shorts, clamdiggers, jeans, etc.

Also, is this a good red for Spring/Summer?

I don't have a pic of the exact purse and brand, but I found a couple on ebay that are similar, one is close to the style, the other is close to the color:

Devin, I have the red Hayden patent bag and I used it today in fact. I love this bag for everyday wear because it looks so good with denim, I have heels in this exact color....It is too big for evening, but I love this bag with a black dress, and just about any other color.

I LOVE my red patent bag!! Angie has one too that she has talked about.

My vote is don't wait...go back and get it!!!!:)

I wouldn't call red patent casual, Devin, but it is fabulous and to Taylor’s point - go for it! You'll love it.
