I placed my order a mere two days before these arrived. Canada Post may be giving up on home delivery, but the parcel service is alive and kicking, at least before Christmas.

The only question is do I size up? They feel super soft and comfortable but have some of that thigh wrinkling at the back. Sorry - I tried to get a pic but it didn't really show the issue.

Mr. Suz (who is generally a fan of looser fitting jeans, FWIW) says they look good like this and would probably look wrong in a size up because they are meant to fit a bit sleek.

I have been sitting in them for about half an hour and find they have already eased a bit. But I don't want to be wearing them too tight. My BR "slouchy skinnies" from several seasons ago are a size up from this (and much, much slouchier) -- this is my regular size.

ETA: apologies for the tired expression...not enough sleep with our house filled.

These look great on you -- I wonder if the size up will provide more ease or just get the wrinkly elephant skin problem.

Yeah, that is exactly my worry, Ceit, and what Mr. Suz said as well. I really, really don't like that wrinkly elephant skin thing.

I think maybe the fabrication is soft and light enough that they either need to be quite loose or quite snug and sleek to work. In between might spell a mess. With my thighs, I would have to size up beyond all possibility to get super loose there. So....

They look good on you in these photos! Unless they feel too tight, I would stay with this size.

I think you should try the size up... then you'll know. You sound like you'll continually second guess yourself if you don't.

ETA... Wow, that's a lot of "you's" in those two sentences!!

They actually feel perfect in this size. Very much like my Kut Dianas except a softer, lighter fabrication. I love the Dianas.

I ADORE the lower leg fit, Angie. That is how my Kut Diana's fit, too. Skinny but NOT calf-sucking. (Janet's memorable phrase).

And this fabric feels as soft and cozy as a pair of pyjamas. I am excited about wearing these over the holiday season. They will look great with the new sparkly sweater!

These look great and your legs look amazing in them! A perfect fit, IMO. I would not size up if you like them and they feel good. They will probably continue to stretch slightly (though not much with only 1% spandex). One size up might only yield that "pants too big" look. You would probably have to go up two sizes to get an intentional look, and even that could backfire, since these are not cut like a actual BF jean.

I have had white jeans too tight (excruciating) and white jeans bagged out (sloppy-feeling and added about 20lbs to my frame). Goldilocks says these jeans are just right.

Hi Suz! You look stunning! They didn't have the cream at my BR, but I tried on the dark denim in what was supposed to be the same fit. It looked higher in the rise on me, so I didn't think I could fancy tuck with them.

These look great on you! I know exactly what you mean about wrinkling. I think it's often worse when you size up --- more like sagging -- due to the lightweight nature of stretch fabric. I ended up with Levis with a firmer, heavier fabric for my denim, but my black and white jeans are like this, too.

Cream seems warmer, more inviting, than optic white in winter.

Take care of yourself this weekend! Pacing is everything!

I think they look perfectly beautiful in this size. Agree with Ceit that, with a larger size, you may get that wrinkly appearance… which could really take away from the overall look (which to me says sleek and light).

I'm glad you decided to keep them, I think they look wonderful on you. This idea that pants shouldn't wrinkle is kind of wacky, I think. Pants on a real live body will pull and wrinkle. Period. That said, I see minimal wrinkling, just your sleek physique and long legs.

I am loving these on you - and wanting some for myself! But in our climate, since I take transit to work the only way these will get worn is with tall boots. Of which I have black and taupe brown pairs and I'm not sure either will really work. Do you foresee wearing these with any of your tall boots? I supposed cognac would look great.... I also have burgundy booties but those are only for dry days and I think those are mostly over.

Mo - these might work for you, too -- they have an 8 inch rise.

Joy, they will look superb on you, I am sure of it. They'll have a bit more ease over the thigh on you than on me and that will look elegant.

I LOVE these! Glad you took the tags off. I had some very good quality cream denim fabric arrive today. I'm going to have a go at making some jeans. I'm really enthusiastic now I've seen yours.

Jules, that's a really good question.

I wore my white jeans with booties on dryer days last winter/ early spring. Even then I got spots on them. Fortunately, they washed out easily. But it's one thing to do that when you work at home and another thing to walk around work all day a spotted mess. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

I did tuck my white jeans into cognac boots last year and really liked the effect. I think that will work with the cream ones, too. I also have black and grey tall boots that I could try. The grey ones are heeled, however, and that look (heeled boots with skinnies tucked in) isn't really "me."

I have also ordered a pair of light taupe/ tan boots that I hope might work. They are the ones that Parsley mentioned (Gee Wa Was) with the lace up backs...really low price but all leather. I am not sure they will fit me but if they do, they will be perfect for tucking these pants into. Not too much contrast.

Yeah I can potentially see them with my taupe boots - but only with lighter, tonal tops. I have mostly jewel tones in my winter wardrobe. One recent addition of an oatmeal tneck but that is as close as I get to winter "whites"!
I think these will be great with your wardrobe however and look forward to the WIWs.

Jules, I think for me -- my light hair bookends. So I can probably wear them with any colour top. But I'll have to experiment with that.

I do wonder how Angie manages not to get all spotty in Seatlle. When I walk, I flick little bits of wet dirt onto the backs of my calves. Does this not happen to others? Of course on a perfectly dry sidewalk it is okay.

Didn't read the comment yet but I vote nay to sizing up. They are supposed to fit like this, they are a skinny jean. I think a size up it will be baggy in the wrong places. I LOVE how they lighten up the overall outfit and have my fingers crossed that mine will fit like these. A great addition to your wardrobe!
