Hi! I'm headed out the door and I hope my feet hold up through city walking on this heel. This is an experiment. There's not a lot of walking so I hope it's not too bad.

I'm really happy to have a pair of bootcuts again after a few years. This was during my fashion depression and I was not buying a lot of stuff. I suspect I'm very conservative (in a large part because I'm short) and I will probably skip over the flared crops, etc, and stick with classic cuts that lengthen--or at least don't shorten--my leg line.

I love the neckline on this blouse...:)

Anyway, weather is grey so blue and grey seem appropriate today.

Looks great love the bootcut and the the boots too! As a plus-sized pear shape I am soooooooooooo happy bootcuts have come back in style! The era of the skinnies has been brutal!

I'm a shorty too, and I don't think there's much denying we look taller with bootcuts and a bit of a heel. I wear skinnies most of the time but that's only because I need to have a pair of my bootcuts hemmed so I can wear them with my lower heels. Those are really flattering jeans. I don't think I could wear that high a heel to walk around on concrete but I like the way they look! You look great!

Thanks again, all. So far I've walked about a mile (riding the subway or "T" now on way to appointment) and it's fine but I don't think I'd be walking my typical 4 miles in these.

You definitely look great in those jeans. I was a reluctant to embrace bootcut jeans but, echoing Thirkellgirl "I don't think there's much denying we look taller with bootcuts and a bit of a heel." Those boots are wonderful. If they were mine I'd wear them constantly.

In Una's recent thread about what body part you dress around, my answer was my height! I'm just under 5'4 but in my mind I'm 5'8". So I'm with you on dressing around "short."

You look great in pants in general so I still think you could pull off cropped flares. Or at least cropped skinnies. Two things: column of color and heels!
