Back after a bit of an absence with a bunch of WIWs and new purchases

I would like to apologize for being MIA since my conference at the end of April. And to thank everyone for Salt Lake city recommendations, the restaurants and sight-seeing were awesome! I have to admit that nothing has been going that well for me in the past year or so, and sometimes in order to cope with that I end up finding one area to focus on as a distraction. In April that was spending every free moment on YLF, but since the trip I have been working crazy (self-imposed) hours, typically six 12-16 h days a week, till I eventually burned out.
I have also been shopping up a storm, which is most likely another stress-coping mechanism ( I guess I liked having control over something). My wardrobe did need a lot of refreshing, but I will admit that I have gone overboard. Since I do not really need anything anymore for summer, I have decided to go on SYC till NAS, which shouldn't be extremely difficult, as I have a lot of new things to play with and not much shopping money left anyway.
I have been taking daily photos of my outfits, and have some catching up to do. Here is the past week: #1 is from Memorial Day (no BBQ with all that white), 2-5 are work outfits, 6-8 are some going out events ( a happy hour on a rooftop, an embassy reception and a casual house party), and final two were for running errands this weekend.
The new items in these photos: Express white peplum blazer and cobalt peplum top in #1, BR long white vest in #3, Madewell grey pointed mini wedges in #4, J Crew blue shirt and SE Trina sandals in #9 and J Crew butterfly sweater in #10. The black wedge sandals from 6/7 are one of the handfull of items I still own that I brought with me when I first moved to USA over 11 years ago. I believe they may have starated my wedge obsession

#5: Gap navy cat shirt, Rock&Republic tuxedo skinnies, white DKNY belt, white SE slipper flats
#6: Black Bebe ponte dress, super old black wedge sandals
#7: Nicole Miller knockout red dress by VS, same old sandals
#8: Bebe grey drapey top, black coated 7FAMK skinnies, black studded Report gladiator sandals
#9: J Crew blue paisley shirt, H&M coral clams, Zara tan belt, SE cognac sandals
#10: J Crew butterfly sweater, Current/Elliot skinny jeans, Born metallic loafers

Diana, lab dressing has been a bit easier so far this spring, probably because it has been much cooler than usual, so Incoukd layer a bit. Last year it was sleeveless tops and sundresses from the end of April! I sure hope it stays like this a bit longer.

You look great! I was just thinking that it looks like the weather is staying relatively cool where you are since you were able to wear blazers, so the work dressing must be relatively easy.

Every outfit looks good, but I especially like the raspberry blazer and the red dress. And what a fun butterfly sweater!
