A friend of mine had an appointment today to get new specs and I helped him pick the frames (in the end he went with the ones I found - dark navy metal frames by Boss Orange). Thing is, they had a promotion for 100€ off for a second pair when you buy one regular pair of specs, also transferable. So if I wanted I could get a new pair at this store within the next three months and would have to pay 100€ less, which is a big deal.

My current specs are from 2011 and some of you might remember the drama until I found them. I have a hard time with specs - they're often too big for my features, too dark or too boring or make me look like your maiden aunt... But I think I want to see if I find anything in one of their stores. If I get some inexpensive frames I can go for "nice", with the mark down they would probably come down to almost nothing. Of course they'd have to be FAB when the frames are more expensive.

Thing is, when I tried just a few pairs today I was really shocked that the short hair seems to change everything. I'm not sure what to look for. I was thinking some metal frames for a change, but in combination with my short hair... Plastic frames that flatter are much harder to find though. I added some (awful) pics of me in the ones I thought were best shapewise, from the few I tried. They follow my brows, the eyes are centered (they're NOT in my current frames), they aren't too big in height and not dropey either. But I don't know...

Any ideas what to look for? Thanks.
